Weird Mouse Issue

Ok when I log into DDO everything is fine until it gets to the character select screen, then the mouse cursor takes off and goes to the top of the screen and I cannot see it anymore. If i move the mouse it will come down and drag back up to the top quickly. I have tried everything that I can think to do.

I have Vista 32 bit
The Mouse is a Logitech MX518


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have been playing the trial for 2 weeks with no problems, now I have the EXACT same problem. What works temporarily is to minimize the game (if u have it in windows mode) then go back and try again. That seemed to work for me for about an hour. However, now the mouse going up to the top happens almost immediately upon loggin into char select screen or past that into the game and I am frustrated.

It only affects DDO, and only in character select screen and the game itself. I can get to the log in screen with no problems. I play in window mode, and I can minimize the window and do anything else outside of DDO while the problem exists in DDO. So it is game specific, and it is newly occuring for me. I have played for 2 weeks with no problems.

I do not have vista, I have XP. I use a wireless Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 and have updated the drivers with no change. I have also used a non-wireless mouse and the same problem exists.

I am kind of computer ********. I know the basics, but any advice would be really appreciated if it is specific. Thanks guys.

there might be a key stuck on the keyboard, just a guess. Try unplugging the keyboard when you start up ddo to see if you get control of the mouse again.

Just tried the keyboard unplug, it did NOT work

I unplugged the keyboard before hitting the "start" button to get to the character select screen. When it changed to the character select screen, the mouse problem still existed.

I think I may have figured it out. I had the guitar hero guitar plugged into one of my USB ports. It may have been influencing this game. When I removed it, it seemed to stop the mouse drifting issue (so far).

Bingo, that would definately do it, because techically Guitar hero guitar is treated as a input device like a mouse, keyboard, ect.
