Hm. Thats an interesting thought until you factor in that the khopesh is an exotic weapon, thus requiring a feat unless you want to take the -4 to hit. If you're willing to accept that, why wouldn't you look for a keen scimitar or kukri instead? You're already going to suck up the -4, you might as well go for a weapon with a better critical range. Afterall, if you're wanting smiting or disruption, you're looking for the weapon effect, not the damage. A good holy of greater bane will be better for that (atleast in the case of undead).

You can't UMD an exotic weapon proficiency. You either have the feat or you don't. You can still -use- the weapon if you don't have the feat, you just take a -4 to attack.

I've often thought about that. The problem is that theres no way to tell the difference between a new player and an old player playing a new character (unless you actually run quests with them). I don't want to give the stuff to old players who are willing to take the item so they can pad their own bank accounts.

And on that note, but sorta different, theres been a few times that I've been in Gianthold or other areas and given away big five weapons. Do you have any idea how hard it is to give away a banishing crossbow?

i actually have a buddy who uses crossbows and wouldve loved that sucker lol
