Default Tap your brain... question on a build

    Hi all,
I am working on a build 12(or 11) Ranger/2 Rog Human, TWF finesse, robe wearing, etc... currently at 6rang/2rog.
Started before leak of Tempest build in mod 6, therefore did not take dodge, mobility, and spring yet.

My question is, sitting at lvl 8 with this rang/rog combo.... how many feats do I have left to take with my remaining level ups. I prefer not to visit Fred to swap if I can squeeze those 3 required feats by lvl 14/16. I also could splash a bit of fighter at end 1 lvl for the extra feat too... considering.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

No need to worry about feats. You can always visit Fred right before levelling up to lvl 12.

    Feat order would probably be:
    Lvl 1: Dodge
    Lvl 3: Weapon Finesse
    Lvl 6: Mobility
    Lvl 9: Improved Crit: Peircing
    Lvl 12: Spring Attack
Lvl 15: Oversized TWF if you dual weild Rapiers
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

Instead of Tempest Ranger, I'm making my Ranging Rogue into a deepwoods sniper:

    Ranger Deepwood Sniper I:
Prereqs: Ranger 6, Point Blank Shot, Weapon Focus: Ranged, Ranger Hide 2, Ranger Move Silently 2, Ranger Spot 2.
Benefit: Grants a +1 bonus to Hide, Move Silently, and Spot. Also grants the ability to take an aimed 'sniper shot' with a +4 bonus to hit, +1 critical threat range, and +1 critical threat multiplier.

The requirement are mostly from the enhancement lines instead of being very feat heavy. The hide/move silently/spot bonuses fit right in with sneak attack stuff imo.

Then build a twf ranger for the Tempest line separately. Otherwise you're looking at going at least 1 or 2 levels of fighter as both will give you a class feat. You will get standard feats at level 9, 12 and 15, but that's it. Fighter levels will severly limit skill points. You will be restricted by how many skill points you get for those fighter levels and may have trouble keeping your DD and OL skills up.

Question I could be wrong but,

Aren't the ranger class enhancement trees like the bard ones where your PC can choose one enhancement class line and only one enhancement line?

Be careful what you wish for, what you say is best; for sometimes what you seek is found, not at the end of the quest.
