    Default 1 to 14 in 14 days

Not very impressive at first glance. But i'm pleased for 2 reasons. First is that there was no power leveling involved, and 2nd is that i got my 1750 favor about 3 hours before hitting lvl 14 thanks to the good folks of Argo's Circle of 8 and Disposable Heros. More importantly i won't have to burdon my guildies by asking them to go back and do rubbish harbor quests. Yee hah!

    Thumbs up

Wow...congrats. I think the impressive part is how you did it that quick....keeping all the armor, items etc. appropriate takes time!! Nice job!

Impressive and also answers a question we had debated late last week about the possibility of hitting 1750 without capping first.

Thanks for the recognition folks. By popular demand i'll give an outline of my tactic for favor hunting when i get some free time at work later today. Sorry for not revisiting the thread sooner but i'd rather play than talk about playing. I'm sure that goes for a lot of folks. Cheers, see ya soon.

Hit 1750 2 missions after hitting 14 on 12 Clr/2 Fgtr battle cleric. No power farming XP...Straight missions Norm/Hard/Elite and move on. So I know how it's done and congratulate any and all who take this route. Lots of missions still left. 2 weeks sounds about right...

Thanks Badger. Looking forward to it.
Sometimes you want to take the slow and scenic route to level 14.
Then sometimes you just want to get that awesome build you know will be god to 14 as fast as possible but it can be difficult to do so.
    So any assistance is helpful.

Got some freetime to recap my journey to 1750.

Some advantages working for me. This was a reroll of a previous character so i had access to all the end game gear minus raid loot. I had also gotten the former character up to 2495 favor so i had elite openers for all the quests except the abbot. (curse you abbot!) I went outside my guild regularly for groups as most of my guildies are capped or power levelers. When i did run with the guildies i made sure to do quests that were off the beaten path. I did my best not to repeat any quests although i regularly did them on normal hard and elite rather than get my alt for an elite opener. Progression was more or less quest by level lowest to highest. I found it a lot easier to get quests on elite that were level appropriate rather than rushing to lvl 14 and going back on favor runs. I did a lot of pug groups and made lot of friends outside of King's Blood as was able to keep my finger on the pulse of the server when favor runs were about to happen. The lvl 9-11 slump was spent soloing encounter areas to feel like i was still making progress while keeping a sharp eye on the LFMs for needed quests. Lvl 12+ was spent in GH and i hadn't gotten any favor from Orchard quests until after 1750.

Working against me was that my new character was a ranger and getting people to accept an unknown ranger in a group is a trick and also that i inexplicably hate putting up LFMs. I guess i'm just not leadership material.

I kept at the favor hunt to see how long 2,495 would take and so far i'm up to 2,450ish. Got my silver flame 400 last night and making good use of the ghost touch arrows. Threnal South has been a particular pain due to its ease of accidental reset. Other than that i believe i'm only missing the Abbot, Von 6 and Sykros Jewel.

I was asked about my amount of game time per day and I confess that i was on a lot. I work for the Navy and the holidays were very slow so i was often sent home early or told not to come in at all. My old lady is also a DDO player and i don't have any kids so almost all freetime was gobbled up by DDO. I'll let you guys know when i hit 2495. If i missed any questions let me know and i'll try and respond quicker this time.

Thanks for the support sirs/ma'ams! -Cowboycoffee
