    Default My own cleric/rogue

    Didn't wanna clutter Impaqts thread, feedback is appreciated. This is more intended as a rogue with great party buffs and competent back-up healing. Not a main line healer.

    Just realized with Find Trap I would be able to hit 59 search. Add in a +2 tome and this character will be able to hit 60 search. Isn't that the benchmark for the Cabal trap? or is that 70?

    Yeah, somewhere areound 61 for Search.... 70 Something for Disable though....

    You giving up a LOT of Cleric ability to take 5 levels of rogue.... I dont think I could do that myself but you'll be an excellent rogue.

    I realize what I am giving up on the cleric front. I have played a healbot to cap and deleted him. I have a capped Warpriestess. She is my favorite character. I am leveling an offensive casting cleric. This is just something to break-up the monoteny. A fully capable utility rogue, with rock solid healing abilities, buffs, and the utility of a near maxed UMD.

    I maxed UMD on my build (Sans SF) so i t can be done with 2 levels of rogue.....

    You miss out on 30 Point resists.. WHich can be a killer... Spell points wil be very low.

    If you wanna take more rogue levels, I woudl suggest trying for 11/3 at current cap and go 2 more levels of Rogue once the cap goes up if you feel you need the extra Skill points.

    I'd think picking up two more Cleric levels as the cap goes up would fix the problems with resists - also delivers Mass Cure Moderate & Heal as a cast spell (not just scroll which is slower and expensive)

    The only thing I'm concerned about are your hitpoints. The four character points you've already thrown into it were needed, and I'm not even sure where you'll pull more from - you need everything. Perhaps -1 Wisdom for +2 Con?

    You've already got Lendra. Why not go 1 rogue 13 bard for great rogue abilities, great buffs and good heals, and a change of pace?

    My stable currently includes:

    Lendra-13/1 cl/pally
    Mordachi-13 soon to be Tempest Ranger
    Romie-14 sorc
    Corinn-8 Barb-prolly soon to be deleted(hate not being able to buff)
    Deathsong-7 warchanter
    Grennal-5 cleric
    Phinere-2/1 clogue

    And several deleted capped chars. There really isn't much new to try. This is just something new to toy with. I may consider the 11/3 split, but I doubt this char will be capped before the level raise so not really an issue. I may just reorder the level progression. My intent is to end 15/5, but so far level 8 spells are underwhelming so I may end 13/7.

    Phinere's hp will break 200 and approach 230ish. Solid for an elvish rogue.

    I built one that was a 11/3 cleric rogue and it has worked out well.
    I suggest only 3 levels rogue though as the extra spell level is helpful, as well as spell points and other spell slots you get.
    It also will allow you to use 7th level scrolls with a caster check that is very easy to make.

    Cabal of 60 search will be lowered.

    For the cleric, you really need the disable, search, UMD, and open lock, the rest are not gonna kill you to not have. You can max out most, if not all, of those 4 just going 3 cleric. Go rogue for two levels and then cleric all the way until you need to catch up (i took level 3 rogue at 14th level.)

    Just my 2 cents.

    This will allow you to still do great buffs, high level spells, quick healing, get almost all traps and locks. I think you will be happier with an 11/3 as a cleric with rogue abilities than a 'better rogue' with low level cleric abilities.

    Try building an 11/3 and see what happens.

    Think about starting with a 14 wisdom and put those points in intel and dex instead. The loss of spell points, at 11th level cleric is gonna be 20 spell points. That is all. For those extra points thrown into intel or dex will greatly increase your skill points and rogue skills.
