Default Hope you get what you are asking for :)

I sincerely hope all of the people [eaten by cube] GET WHAT they are asking for

As a matter of fact I'll do ya one better.I'll offer the solution.

Make spells ALL spells NEUTRAL as GOD/Gary Gygax intended.

Make my Firewall cook the party member who isnt fast or smart enuf to move out of the way when i say FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!!!!!
Make my Cloudkill Actually KILL the party member to lazy to put on Proof against Poison.
Make my OTTOS dancing Sphere Send the entire ROW of our MIN/MAXER TANKS INTO A DANCING FRENZY because thier wisdom is like SIX.
Make Blade Barriers SHRED party members because the cleric was too lazy to communicate that he/she was dropping one.
and last but most importantly MY HASTE AFFECT THE MOBS TOO so we might POSSIBLY have TO STOP FOR HASTE INSTEAD OF PLOWING INTO THE MOBS SCREAMING HASTE HASTE HASTE!!!!!!!(also Haste should have a very bad drawback like in PnP I say Like EXHAUSTION after the affects wear off because of the toll it takes on a Charachter.

I know ill be shot down on the Haste bit Because that would affect Johny McEgo and Im sure he only wants the SPELLS that kill things Nerfed/Removed so his kill count wont suffer.

I wouldn't mind friendly fire at all.

But on the haste item, I'm not sure what verision you play but haste has no negative effects in 3.x

You know and I know Haste was originally designed to age 1 year off the persons daring to use it...recently was changed but I personally think the drawback was very necessary.

What does she do, wait 'till you're not looking, steal it back, hide it for the year, and then rewrap it?

Not that it's a bad idea, I suppose (saves money in the long run), but talk about CHEAP!

As to the rest, I'm sure it will be instituted when they release the EVIL character component of the game, when such things will be necessary.

Then we'll ALL have to be careful what we wish for.

In 1st and 2nd Editions, maybe.

In 3.0 and 3.5, Haste has never had a drawback.

Stop using antiquated rules or houserules to justify your proposed changes.

I know when I first started playing the game this was one of the first things I noticed:
friendly spells do not affect monsters and offensive spells do not affect party members.
There is one problem to what your propose. In pen and paper, you have time to communicate
with your party members. "I'm going to cast a fireball in this square/hex so move your fighter
four squares from there". DDO doesn't have a pause button where you can stop the game and
say, "hey, I'm going to cast a fireball on hobgoblin #1 so go to the right". Since DDO isn't turn
based it would be almost impossible to communicate anything in time before you were being
    attacked.
One other problem. The game would be all PvP based which I don't think Turbine was/is
intending and I know I certaintly wouldn't want that. Walk into raid, finish raid, caster throws
empowed/maximized firewall on last chest and a few lightning balls to finish off the party grabs
the loot and says, "hey thanks for the group folks, too bad you can't get back in...looks like you would
    have gotten some neat stuff"

no kidding, since i could easily say "haste should only affect one person per casting, since thats how 3.0 used to do it! And then the devs could put in mass haste at a higher spell level!"

Not saying i would want that, but sometimes old rules are changed in favor of new ones. And the old DnD systems had a much different combat system, as a round was a minute instead of 6 seconds. I.E. instead of being hasted for 5 minutes, you are moving at 150% normal speed for 30 seconds, so at most, your age should be advanced a venerable 15 extra seconds! (of course, longer for higher caster levels.)
