I have just created my first warforged character, currently he is a lvl 4 wizzy. I have no knowledge of what good docents are out there and don't know if there is a Guide to Docents or whatever you may know about. please feel free to gove suggestions on how best to equip my character.

Gonna want Arcane Sigils at higher levels...reduce arcane spell failure. Other than that, I'd stock up on greater resist docents of every kind, and you're set. That easy. Of course, warforged casters are silly, so I am not putting much thought into it.

The arcane sigil is ok, but if you only took the base composite body I wouldn't bother. You are only looking at a 5% asf that is easily overcome by spending 1 AP. Basically add-on's for docents (other than the few named ones) are exactly the same for armor/robes. My personal favorite is Fearsome.

And yea WF casters are silly if you consider self healing and being immune to **** near everything that kills those silly little dark pointy-eared wanna be engines of arcane destruction

Well final stats on him will be 20 str, 20 dex, 26 con, and 30 int, so he should be able to hold his own in any regard, just looking for insights into the minds of casters . Looking for what docents to look for as well as caster items considered necessary. I have greater potency 7 scepter already, and greater combustion 4 helm for fw, plan on using +6 str gloves at lvl 9, +6 int goggles, +6 con necklace, have a +3 fearsome docent, +6 dex ring, boots fo the innocent, cloak of prot +5, POP X( Til I decide to go woth Wiz 6 or whatever), belt of greater false life. Still have a ring slot to fill and bracers to fill. He's only lvl 4 so I have a while to pick up what I need. He's LG so maybe I'll throw chaosgarde on him.

I don't have any arcane sigil docents on any of my warforged characters on any server. Not that they are hard to find or expensive, I've just never had a use for one. Fearsome is great. After that, look for greater resistances, axeblock, hammerblock, spearblock. My favorite is a fearsome docent of axeblock.

So it's looking like I should go with greater resist and fearsome docents. Any other suggestions welcome.

Going to have to agree with a Fearsome Docent for most situations, a high AC docent or spearblock/hammerblock/axeblock for places where fearsome is useless, and a deathblock docent. The only exception is you may want a docent with lesser arcane sigil if you want to use something like a +5 Heavy Mithril Shield with no ASF.

I'll have to work on one of those. Have 2 +3 fearsome docents, just waiting to see which one looks best when I can wear them.

Thats the truely hard part, 1st finding a good Docent, and the actually finding one that looks semi-presentable

Yeah I have a plain old +3 on him at lvl 4 but it makes him look like iron Man, so it's cool. lol

Was pondering the same thing. What are opinions on blue dragon scale docents? Arcane lore is nice on a caster, and electric resist is a nice bonus.
