Free Agent Favor

Due to the appearant increased need for repairs in Mod 6, can we please have 400 Free Agent favor apply at all places that are capable of performing repairs. Also can the DEVs please make sure that the chance for permanent damage is still inline with a what a 400 favor reward should be.

I personally don't care about the story line with regards to this. For all I care the blacksmiths work for the dwarf in the desert and send the items that are difficult repairs to her via DDO FedEx.

Good idea. At the very least, we need a more convienent spot than the desert.

the desert is still a really annoying place to put a favor reward.

at least I'VE never fallen into the house D crevice on the way to get ammo.

Agreed, especially since its the only place without a teleporter and even the teleport spell won't get you there.

Why do people think the repair npc in the desert is different than the other repair locations? I mean, sure she SAYS she's better, but any character that can get to the desert can use both her assistants services and her individual services just by clicking on the second option twice... no favor needed.

My personal experience is that the guy in the gianthold does just as good a job if not better... although that's tongue in cheek because I think they all use the same mathematical equation in rolling for permanent damage.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I would definitely like to see a use for my Free Agent favor for classes other than a rogue. Heck, I've got capped characters that have never bothered returning to the harbor to reap the "rewards" from them.

That's because it most likely uses only her assistant (the dialog is messed up).

probably because she's the only repair NPC that has dialog that boils down to

"i am teh ub3r repairer! you must give your items to my lackies, because the Free Agents find your demeanor sickening."

i dunno... could be something else.

i forget if the harbor guy tells you to go to the desert to see whats-her-face for repairs or not upon turning in 400.

Though that LOOKS like it works, it does not. Using expert repair costs a LOT more and gives you very rarely gives you permanent damage. I used to do this "trick" thinking it worked, then I got 400 favor and noticed I was way off.

Definitely would be nice for the DEVs to make sure its working and apply it everywhere, even if it won't effect death damage.

It's not an assumption. Her assistants will repair all categories of gear. She, however, will only repair weapons and armor.

That is why I have always thought that this favor reward was underwhelming. I want to repair weapons and armor using my favor reward I run to the desert, I want to use my favor to repair clothing etc I run House P.

Hence my suggestion that I should work all the time no matter where you got to repair.

I understand the death damage will not have any possibility of doing permanent damage in MOD 6 but I am still requesting that this be changed.
