Don't know if this has been brought up before as I don't have time to sift thru all the posts, but pvp deaths and in town /deaths (most frequently used for stuck bugs) should not affect items or xp -at all-.

I believe this is true of PvP deaths both under the new system and the old system.
/death in town... that's debatable. Of course it'd be nice if we had a "recall to bind point" command for in town for when you get stuck (which would be the same as /death, I guess, so either way).
Have a question about the Eberron Setting?
Ask a Loremaster.
Trying to get some things straight in this head of mine..
An item must be attuned to an Eldritch Device first (ie before becoming bound, harder, etc)?
Repair skill will be useful someday (to fleshies, of course)?

El,
Thanks to you and the rest of the Dev team for listing to our 1000 page rant
You have effectively addressed the biggest problem with the new system...perm damage... and the reduced in quest damage will be nice. I'd still like to have the 25% price reduction but hey, I'm greedy You just brought back a customer that you were about to lose.
Nice sneak peak on the psydo crafting as well...
thanks, my loot is protected from permanent damage upon death now that is all that i wanted
i appreciate your listening to your player-base
I feel much much better with this proposed change! Thank you for listening and responding to our concerns It may again be safe to PUG. :-)
Thank you community and the DEV's for the feedback in the re-tooling of the DP.
I just hope it has a big enough sting to it so we will not have to visit the DP for the third time.

I am thinking the binding process creates an attuned item that can now be used in the eldritch station.Items may be bound and attuned at a “Stone of Change”, which can be found in the Marketplace next to the Lordsmarch Bank or in The Twelve, at the base of their tower. Take your item and place it into the Stone of Change, and add (Minimum Level Requirement of the item ^ 2) Khyber Dragonshard Fragments into the device. (Khyber Dragonshard Fragments are commonly found in breakable objects.) An example of the process of binding an object can be found here. Items thus attuned will allow additional Eldritch Rituals to be performed upon them.
Questions:
Will already bound items be considered attuned, or will they have to go through the stone of change process as well, and does that mean raid items can be attuned and upgraded?

I want to thank Eladrin for the changes and all the work you and Tolero put in over the weekend and in keeping up with that monster thread. This adresses all of my issues. However, I did kind of like the idea of a straight up death tax. I wanted to see something like this in my mailbox:
Death and Taxes Edition
A wise sage once said that the only things that are inevitable are death and taxes. That saying just took on a whole new meaning because the Coin Lords have been rereading the laws pertaining to the Stormreach death tax. They have discovered that the tax is payable on death, but that there is no mention of ressurection obviating payment of the tax. They have decreed that all previous nonpayment shall be forgiven, but henceforth all residents of Stormreach whose estates are of the requisite size will be required to pay the levy, irregardless of the fact that they may be ressurected at a later date.
The Stormreach Internal Revenue Service
(SIRS)
I like the option to bind too, especially if we can customize our items. Again, thank you for everything.
Have a question about the Eberron Setting?
Ask a Loremaster.
Has anyone asked How Item Defense will play into this new equation?
If so, link please.... or quote.

I have been desperately trying to follow the thread (I don't know how you do it, El...).
I have not seen any word on how this increased cost will affect casters more than non-casters. I was thinking that the cost could be mitigated by a reduction in the cost of scrolls and wands. Even a 10-15% drop would help with the problem.
