It's killing me that I can't think of the name of this feat right now but isn't there a feat from one of the complete ___ books that gives a +2 dodge bonus for moving?

Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
- Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
- Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
- Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
- Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
- Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.
i also like this idea, however.. mobility is very useful imo.. i can literally walk up to the STK giant naked on elite and time my tumbling so that i never get hit and still manage to swing at him... you can walk up to him, tumble back as he swings, and immediately tumble forward again (so to keep him still) and swing, then repeat. works great.. also, works AMAZING in stk at general Xanti'lar. tumbling around him (about 1/3 of the way around him anyway) dodges his scorching rays and fireballs and such for the most part, and allows for a quick flanking swing
however... i completely agree that a +2 ac while moving would be great for those who possess the mobility feat

Good sugestion..
Seems in line with the idea of the feat and its basically a trade off, dps per ac... seems nice and right, lets wait for a dev opinion now.
Congrats

I'm good with that particular change Phenx, but am mostly concerned that a prerequisite feat is actually more useful than the 2nd Tier feat in a chain! With that much investment, it should be BETTER! Right now, it's really not useful 99% of the time.

Agreed... I think everyone agrees that mobility is much less useful than dodge.
Making mobility a +2 while moving +4 while tumbling stacking dodge bonus seems to placate all AND make it something worth having.
I know my playstyle is something akin to being a superball... Halfling with a lot of jump dual kopeshs and spring attack...my favorite thing to do is attack a mob the hop over him stick him in the back a few times before he can turn around...then do the same again and run around him a bit maybe tumble back then hop in again... so they never know where its coming from. This is exactly what I was thinking. Maybe have it give you another +1 dodge, all the time. You're more mobile, and therefore can dodge incoming attacks. Not necessary to do the whole "while moving" thing. Then, since tumble items and spells are too easy to get, have the additional AC bonus of +1 per 5 ranks of the Tumble skill. Ranks only, not the actual skill value after boosts and such. This would finally give the Tumble skill a reason for investment, rather than currently where it is mainly theatrics.
The +2/+4 change would be very welcome. Especially since the Spring Attack line is going to be mandatory for the Tempest enhancement. Would take some of the sting out of having to use 1/2 of your feats on a pure ranger at level 15 to get it.

/signed, it needs something done to it.
I believe you are thinking of the skirmish class ability of the scout class from complete adventurer. It progressively adds extra damage and AC bonuses as you advance in level, to a max of 5d6 and +5 at level 19, but you only get the bonuses in any round that you move at least 10 feet.

I specced out of mobility and spring attack when I discovered how hard it is to make contact with fleeing mobs. I was better off fighting in place, which made both SA and mobility rather useless. A change as described would give me a reason to spec back into the original plan I envisioned for my ftr/rog.

Minimize expectations and you'll never be disappointed
I've got the whole Spring Attack line on my fighter and I would love to see a change to Mobility. Great idea!

What we really need is to let Tumble work as per PnP and let your tumble THROUGH occupied spaces.
Daily *bump* to keep the thread on the front page...
Any response from a dev would be wonderful. Even if it is just to say "Nope, not gonna happen."

I like this idea as much of as the rest of you, but at least try to be a little creative with your bumps. And don't announce it.
Sheesh.

Lol ok then... stealthy resurrection.
Codog has mentioned that they are looking into changing mobility.
What they are thinking of doing to it no one knows... perhaps a poll... most players seem to favor a motion activated armor class bonus.
