Weapons with Finesse property don't work

I haven't see any mention of this anywhere but it seems that weapons with the "Finesse" property don't actually give you weapon finesse, making the property rather useless.

I have tested it on several characters and equipping a finesse weapon does not use your dex bonus for to-hit (still uses str). Has anyone gotten them to work properly?

I will bug report this in-game too.

I was thinkin the same thing the other day when using the Oxyhorn I think it was.

It was posted somewhere (if I remember correctly) , that the finesse only works with that particular weapon which has the designator. Personally though, I couldn't get it to work myself either. Maybe it is still bugged.

They only use your dex bonus if it is currently higher than your str bonus. Which leads to 2 situations:

1) Your str bonus is higher than your dex bonus: Weapon finesse useless, use something better

2) Your Dex bonus is higher than your Str bonus:
2a) You never melee (Ex: Pure caster): What the fudge do you care about finesse weapons anyway?
2b) You often/always melee (Ex: Dex-based rogue): Why don't you have the feat? Its worth it.
Go get it. Now. I mean it. NOW! Ok, now that you have the feat, throw away any weapon finesse weapons
as they really can't compare to any half-decent vendor-fodder finessable weapon. +2 holy of PG is like 20k in
the AH.

are you just looking in your inventory panel? or are you actually watching the die rolls? it may be a case such as a greater bane or righteousness weapon where the extra plus doesnt show up anywhere but in the die rolls themselves... check that out first to make sure that isnt the case
