anyone tell me why the game has them? I have my own theories, but then I'm a conspiracy nut so... perhaps they do have a valid in-game purpose

Every group would be a reaver grind until you have +3 in every spot you want and have all the gear you need. Some of the highest level of chests in game, done in 20 minutes a run. I would be ransacked on this dungeon at all times.

yes, yes, making money isn't a crime, but I just wish for once it didn't come down solely to crass commercialism.
