Whats up with clerics anyways?

Try not taking any damage. Then you won't have to use any potions.

maybe they just choose not to heal you because of your lack of tact. Now we know now that since you had a bad incident all clerics must be equally bad.

these type of posts will make sure you don't get healed even if there are 5 clerics in your group. good luck with that.

If it was that simple i would have never posted here. really its sick is it just to much to ask for a heal every now and again? i mean hell my tanks have 462-550 hps my caster has 338 hps. so its not that i am too squishy. Just seems to me it doesn't take all that much to keep someone alive with so many HP's and AC.

i dunno bout any other cleric, but here i go again.. #1 a cleric cannot make what he spends on a quest if he uses wands and scrolls!!!#2NOONE tips anymore!!!#3 if a cleric runs outta mana a few things are gunna happen, your gunna die, he's gunna use wands and scrolls, to keep you alive so you can zerg ahead and die anyways(which makes ppl mad when they die) then you call them crappy clerics, or the whole party waits till the cleric calls out for mana.. IE loses exp if not capped, or finds a shrine!9 times outta 10 the party has at least 1 person that WONT wait and causes a party wipe or close to it. this is NOT always the situation but in 2 years of playing i have seen it SOOOO many times. so use pots and ease the cleric mana use. YES there are cleric that do what you say BB and destruction and TANK (god forbid) when i figure out those names i tend to NOT play with them anymore. i really dont care how anyone else plays there cleric or THINKS they know the best way, it's simple and a fact, a cleric in a party IS expected to heal that party. if your playing with those that dont want to it's really simple, next time you see that cleric just dont play with them, i assure you when word gets around they will eventually not play that character much > BOTTOM LINE IS: use the common sense god gave ya!

Y'know what I find on my cleric? The dumb fighters chuggin pots cause I wont heal that 23 hps worth of damage they
just took.

I used to say, "Dont worry XXX Im watchin' ya" but I dont any more. Aint my money.

Esteban, heres a simple solution: Cleric won't heal you? Don't pull aggro off the cleric. 2 things are gunna happen. 1) The cleric realizes they need you more than they thought. 2) Your party wipes. Either way you win.

Just because you have a lot of hp that doesnt mean your not squishy. oh and hp doesnt count as ac.

next have you played a cleric? if not try it. it's not as easy as you think.

third a clerics job is not to heal you. go read Defenders of the Faith. we are basicly the everything class we melee, offencive casting, deffencive casting, turning, oh and yes healing.

Forth dont be jelous be cause some cleric dropped a BB and out killed you

Nah its not about the kill count because i am sure i can keep up with the best of any server. And AC yeah i have a 50 AC and what does that mean to a elite lvl 17 mob? Jack!! and i am really ok with when things hit the fan to pot in order to keep the quest going. So u all can make as may excuses as u want u r still messing with the fine design of things. And yes i have and do play a cleric so i know what one should be played like. But all the same if u r posting in this page because u believe not all cleric are like that keul. But if u r posting because ur that guy go relive ur conscience some place else because i am talking to u so wake up and do a lil healing punk!

It does seem like alot of clerics take the "holier than thou" approach to healing. In case you havn't played many MMOs in your time, every group needs a primary healer, and effective groups usually have a backup healer as well (that is unless the primary healer is effective and adequate in their duties).

Sure you *can* melee, and use offensive spells, but that doesn't mean you're being the best cleric you can be. These kinds of clerics should just learn their role, or tell any party they join that they are in fact not a healer, but a gimped DPSer. It's like making a pure fighter but specializing in ranged combats... just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

*edit That last line applies to having children as well.

Take 1 part bad attitude, add 1 part "But I have wicked HP and AC". Stir in a pinch of whine and you have one awful, zerging player.
