Default Lol the coins or even a grind

Yes there will be lots of opinions and trashing of others opinions since do not agree, but I for one see this game just becoming more of a grind ever time they come up with something. I have not really had much fun lately playing. I am just getting close to saying bye.

Really do not care if think my opinion is wrong, but the changes to the raid for Ascension made it beatable probably although still stupid not really that much fun. Sorry when they or more worried about the challenge in raid then fact fits the game type its not a good raid. Why does everyone have to be good doing the puzzle(reality its a dex skill not puzzle no brain power needed) or have extremely good gear to stand a chance to living through the inferno. The fight on the other hand would have been fun without the inferno.

That getting off target though lets get back to you having to either buy pp to get some items or grind forever. Be real took me over 80 runs in the pre raid to get all my tome pieces with me trading and dealing. Who thinks running the same quest over 80 times is fun? This is for one character lol, if want it for all my guys its going be over 300 runs. I do play this game for fun and getting items is part of my fun. If like this style great no need to knock all those that do not. Please no comments like if not for you then just do not worry about the item. Sorry I play to improve my characters and maximize there abilities not just be social gathering.

Said it before they would be better off making servers for the difficulty you like playing, so everyone gets same product they paying for, but if they hate the grind not required to do it. I can careless about all the ones will say look I am great on the elites of the elite. Fine just let me play the moderate world. I like going back on old material screwing around doing stupid stuff that is fun to me. Grinding for gear just becomes stupid after awhile and my interest is waning bad. Today first day every seen my game-play just fall through the floor because really could not care about it anymore. (casual play server for all those only play 10 hours or less, moderate play for 10-hour player, hard for 30 hour plus, elite world for those want play 40+++)

Well even if this was not your play style, how could you compete with all those other people who loot constantly. I think segregated servers would be great. I would like to see a hard-core server myself.

    1. No Shrines in quests.
    2. Failure and leaving a quest.
    3. Bring back real death penalties.
    4. Have items bind on pickup (no twinking)
    5. Crafting, so you can make your gear.

The game is getting grindy. I will never have more than 2 or 3 chars flagged for Reaver. The same will probably be true for the Abbott. I certainly will never own a tome item (or if I do it will be one saved up between all the preraids I ever do).

I refuse to do 80 runs of any quest on a char...ever. When that means I don't get the optional item (like the tome) I'm ok with that. But its a shame that most of my chars will never get into two raids - that was beginning to make me join the doom camp. I'm encouraged that it appears we may be going in a new direction for mod 6 though...here's hoping...

I have the exact opposite thoughts about Mod6. Grinding for random items to forge your customizable raid item. Grinddddd.

*sigh* I guess I blotted that part out of my mind.... You are right, that part could be bad, my enthusiasm had only let me digest the part where we were told the quest was more TS like and easier to get into.

If it turns out well, the raid loot items are sort of a bonus, not the purpose of the raid. It probably has a lot of chests anyway, a la TS. So people will be running it for loot and get the raid item customization parts as a bonus.

We'll have to wait and see.

As far as grinding is concerned:
I'm under the impression that at least SOME parts of this game should be a reward not accessible to every nitwit with internet access... I mean some things are rewards for difficult tasks... not just rewards for existing.

As far as grinding Festival Coins is concerned:
I agree that there needs to be a balance somewhere, but Festival Coins being a grind?!? For WHAT? It takes three copper coins, two silver coins and a single gold coin to turn in. You have the chance to earn them in EVERY CHEST IN THE GAME, and you get them for doing what you'd be doing already. If you want one of every reward type, then it may take 20 or so gold coins, which will take more than a few runs through Sunken Sewer... then again, see my earlier comment about actually having to work for a reward.

    QFT!!!!

Coins only out for a day and people have begun to complain they don't have enough yet.

A grind?!? HUH! You get these in chests, as extra's. You pick these up as we are playing not playing to farm them. And if people are annoyed because they are farming then they have themselves to blame.

Grinding can be found in any type of activity that people do. It's what we do best as people. All creatures on this Earth are creatures of habit. If you do a different routine everyday when you wake up I'd like to hear about it. The fact of the matter is repetition is part of our lives there is no escaping it.

Many things exist that make our repetition easier. Automation exists to do repetitive things fast.

Variety in your repetition will cure you of your woes. Go repeat some other quests or find some other motivations for doing the quests. Walk backwards through quests or find new ways to beat the boss of a quest. Brainstorming and creativity or running PUGs will teach you new ways to enjoy the game.

Just some free advice to help you out of your funk. Cheer up and have one of those great tasting beholder cookies from Thread of the Week, and then go do some tapestry runs.

Yes but Blue griding isn't difficult, its a task designed for "every nitwit with internet access" and too much time on their hands. I think that's the point of the complaint.

Ya with you here. None of these are even close to "required" items and they are just add on fun so there is no need to "grind" for them.

And basically, the only way to give people that is to make it take a long time to complete. Which I am never fond of.
No one wants a grind. Not a single person playing this game wants a grind. What we want is content, optionals, time-sinks!
    Oh oh, I said time-sinks Crafting/housing/gathering...SUBMERSION in Stormreach...to feel that we're living in DDO-Stormreach.

Not a grindgrindgrindgrind the Abbott preraid, grindgrindgrind the Orchard, grindgrindgrind Giant/Elf/Dragon relics.

Thats not content, thats not timesinks, thats grind.

Please dont take the word timesink the wrong way and please dont take my examples of timesinks as all there can be.
I dont particularly care if y'all want crafting or not, (I dont btw and could care less about housing) the point is there
needs to be more to do other than questing...

Putting in grinds doesnt help the situation any, it just serves to frustrate the player base.

    *****No Grind***** the box said.
Well, if they had any boxes to send to the stores they'd have to remove that lil tidbit.

Said all this before, I know....sorry for repeating myself Im off to get coffee...if there is any left.

It seems that if you want to grind for the Ultimate Item, you can. If you don't want to, then at least you aren't denied from experiencing the actual content.

That seems like a good thing.
