    Default Launching game issue

I've looked around for a thread that had the same issue, but I was unable to find one. Some were close but not the same. If I missed it, then please redirect me to the answer. My issue:
I launched ddo and it went through and updated everything after todays update. I was not ready to play so after updating shut my pc down and returned later. I relaunched ddo and it went through the update checks and all was update so there was no downloading to be done. I typed in my username and password as normal and hit enter. It logged in normally and came to the server screen. I clicked Sarlona, which is the server I reside on. It closes the launcher as normal and then does nothing. It does not launch into the game. I can open other programs and run them as normal. I ctrl alt deleted to look at the running process's and could not find ddo on the list. I tried several times, and each time ddo would not launch. Any advice in this matter would be helpful.
I use windows xp home edition w/ service pack 2 installed, athalon 64 3200+, nvidia 7800 gt, with 3 gigs of ram.
    Recap.
    1 execute ddo launcher
    2 updated correctly
    3 enter user name pass
    4 click on server
5 ddo launcher closes as normal
    6 and then... nothing.

Just as a quick fix, have you rebooted your computer since this started happening? We have run in to some cases where this happens because the computer still thinks the client is already running. If you do a ctrl-alt-delete, does it show Lord of the Rings Online in the programs list?

    Default got it

well actually I play DDO... but, I started thinking along those lines of simple. No my pc did not think it was running. I took the back up files and restored them then redownloaded the update. . . bingo. IT worked. I guess something went wrong during the patch and currupted the laucher.

    Thanks for your help
