Default (SvS) Server vs. Server PvP

    I just have two questions.

    Question 1:
Has anyone played Dark Age of Camelot (DAoC) before?

*If you have you'll understand what I'm talking about.*

    Question 2:
How would the player base fell if the Developers designed Server vs. Server PVP adventure area type battlegrounds?

The Battlegrounds could consist of each server having their own castle (safe zone) with general venders, potion shops,
siege weapon venders (how else would you take a castle wall down?), and a castle in the middle of the map that the
servers would have to fight over while fighting people from different servers.

lvl 1-5 battleground about the size of Cerulean Hills

lvl 6-10 battleground about the size of Searing Heights

lvl 11-15 battleground about the size the the Orchard of Macbre

lvl 16-20 battleground about the size of the Desert

Also, each battleground a server conquers and holds would get a bonus.

    Example:

    lvl 1-5 battleground - Speed Bouns = 10%

    lvl 6-10 battleground - Hit Point Bonus = 10%

    lvl 11-15 battleground - Spell Point Bonus = 10%

    lvl 16-20 battleground - Experience Bonus = 10%

If one server manages to conquer and hold all four battlegrounds then the bonus jumps to 40%.

Another question that might come up is about the name conflict.
That has already been taken care of with the server merge where everyone that enters the battleground
would have their server listed after their name.

Example: (Krunck - Ghallanda, Abraxius - Khyber, etc).

Well here you go. What do you think?
    Flying Burrito Brothers, Proud Officer
Krunck - Lvl 20 Barbarian, Abraxius - Lvl 10 TR Cleric
    Fieldtest - Lvl 9 Cleric, 2 Monk, 1 Rogue

After Argo conquered all the strongholds, everyone would just move to Argo and lag up my game even more. No thanks,

I think they sent that dev team over to LOTRO for monster play (very much like DAoC battlegrounds/frontiers)

Since the number of PvP'ers is actually a pretty small minority of the total player base, it would probably be a big dud, not to mention a big waste of time for the developers who need to be working to improve the actual GAME, not the amusing sidelight people do when they are bored.

I soooooo want monster play over here.

I want to go Velah on some poor party's arse.

and yes, Velah would whip the Abbot's dusty behind and the SR too.

I like the sound of this, actually. I haven't played DAoC or LOTR:O, but this appeals to me. I'm not so big on PvP, but I've had some fun with the little CtF and DM on DDO. A SvS sort of thing (a bit like what Warhammer:Online is advocating) could be fun
