    Sure, any fully optimized, ranged-only uber-build will never have a problem... but, there are people who play the game for enjoyment and haven't exactly built the 'specialist' archer. The + to hit is good and as has been pointed out, will go good with +1 Paralyzing bow of pure good (etc).

    I said a well built Dex ranger.... U dont have to be uber. Any Dex build by 14th level will have at least +26 to hit without even trying
    (BAB +14, 28 Dex +9, free feats +2, +1 Bow = +26 to hit) I find +26 sufficient to hit anything endgame.

    in truth most will have closer to +29 to +32 ... In either case I dont really see +4 more to hit as a big deal.

    I play to have fun...I am by no means leet or uber. My wizard ranger is a direct copy of my pen and paper version (more or less)
    Hes got +29 to hit and I havent even streamlined him like some of my more focused "power-play" builds


    .....its very do-able ...sorry If I came off as a guy who has a library of +2tomes, +6 stat items, the big 5 on all characters
    and every named item in the bank.

    good idea also.....if the burst effect is over-powered i think thundering or maiming would fit in there very nicely.

    then I wouldnt have a problem giving them some bonuses to hit ...maybe +1 - +3 tops.

    Yeah, but you can't use manyshot with only one arrow. And if that one arrow is destroyed by an off-chance flame strike or anything, you're s.o.l. How fast do the arrows return? That might slow down an already turtle-speed shot-rate. I could see 50 instead of 100, but the 100 stack is already coded, etc, so if it makes for easier coding, then why not? 1 would just be painfully nerve-wracking....

    That is what I have now at lvl 13, and I still have quite a few "miss" pop up, especially on lvl 13 & 14 quests... not exactly "No problem" and the extra +4 or 5 would help. I suppose I do still hit 50% or more.... still... some of the end bosses I am only hitting 40%....
