    Halfling Builds-

Been wanting to make a halfing build rogue (maybe some ranger or fighter mixed in)-
I don't think I want to make him a melee front liner- however thoughts of range either composite longbow or the ever-fun repeating crossbow would be fun to make-

My question is should i wait till i can make 32 pointers and build him then or would i be able to be effective as a rogue halfling before? Should i focus on throwing or ranged?

Does weapon finess included throwing weapons? Figuring that should be a good combination -

    Thanks
    Brutous.

I know people will disagree but I think halflings make better tanks and casters, not rogues. I'd go with drow or even better, 32 point elf. But of course there are many many halfling rogues out there. You might want to go 2 levels of ranger, for healing wands and free TWF feat, but you're going for ranged, so I beleive level 2 rangers get Bow Strength, but I'm not sure.

Rangers get bow strength at level 1, TWF at level 2 so stick with 1 level of ranger unless you want twf or want a boost to BAB.

    Hey Brutous,

I was telling you a little bit about my successful Halfling Batman lastnight.. He's not a typical batman but he does have the evasion and 3 lvl's of Paladin for Disease Immunity and LoH. I made him as a drow (essentially a 32 point build) for 2 reasons. 1st. I don't have enough favor to make a 32 point of any other class. 2nd I'm going high UMD so I can use Twink gear, and Rez/Heal Scrolls. Makes him a much more effective Tank / Jack of All Trades. At lvl 8 I have a 70% Chance on Raise scrolls, and a 40 AC. I took my levels as follows. For one of your feats, if you want to be UMD based like me I took Skill focus UMD. This toon is a pointy specialist, since I didn't have many Points to put into Strength, his dex is currently a 23 or 26, can't remember exactly. If you like the look let me know and I'll give you the details on the build later tonight.

    1. Rogue
    2. Paladin
    3. Paladin (Cha Bonus to Saves)
    4. Paladin (2 LoH + Disease Immunity)
    5. Rogue
    6. Rogue (Evasion)
    7. Rogue
    8. Rogue (40 AC with a +5 Shield and +3 Mith BP + Barskin Pot)
    9. Rogue
    10. Fighter (Bonus Feat)
    11. Fighter (Bonus Feat)
    12. Rogue
    13. Rogue / Fighter (Unsure atm)
    14. Rogue / Fighter (Unsure atm)

TWF is over rated, you lose tremendous AC unless you build your dex up properly, and you have to spend a bunch of feats to improve your TWF to really see a benefit in number of attacks per round. I suggest taking the Paladin instead, you'll be able to use wands, have disease immunity, Cha bonus to saves, and you'll have 2x LoH which mine currently hit for 137HP instantly, if you take the enhancement to get the 1 extra.
