Rangers and toughness

Can anyone explain to me why rangers don't get the toughness enhancements?

This is the class that gets endurance in pnp, that would seem to hint that they might be a little bit tougher than joe smoe. Yes I know endurance is different than toughness but with endurance not meaning anything in DDO why not allow them the toughness enhancements. So they wounldn't get anything for free you still would have to have the toughness feat. But come on they are the only full BAB class that doesn't get the enhancement and probablly should have it more so than fighters or pallies.

they are also the only full BAB with a 1d8 HD (instead of 1d10 or 1d12).

i can see why they didn't give it to rangers, but I still think that feat based enhancements (metamagic, toughness, etc) should be available to any class though: even if at different progressions of value.

It's been brought up before. No response from the devs but there was a whole lot of hubbaloo from people who feel rangers are overpowered or are meant to be archers or some other nonsense.

Honestly though: Toughness enhancements need to be available to all classes since the feat is available to all classes. And Turbine needs to lay down some equality and choose to give all Races with a CON enhancement chain a toughness enhancement chain or give none of the races with a CON enhancement chain a toughness enhancement chain.

I think they should have to choose between ranged feats or TWF feats just like in PnP...the TWF should get toughness enhancement and the Bowmen should get something else really insanely sick equal to the 50 hp.

I like the idea of any feat taken allows the enhancement line to open for the character. It would certainly allow for more diverse characters. Except for your min/maxers that would just make uber cookie cutters.
