Default Voice chat is very quiet.

The voice chat in DDO is extremely quiet as compared to other programs like Ventrilo or Teamspeak, and other games for that matter. Is there anything I can do(to DDO, because my headset is boosted to the max) to possibly increase this volume of feedback, any way to set the feedback volume above 1.00?

Turn all your other games sounds down to 0.20 and leave Voice Volume at 1.00. Then adjust as needed to fine tune.

I have people talking in my headset, the volume is maximized as high as possible, other games are very loud and whatnot, but DDO is quiet. No you can't set it to 11, 1 is the max...

And no, I wouldn't prefer to listen to other people on my surround sound speakers either, I like the headset.

I think they need to change it so you can set the incoming volume higher, so that I don' have to turn my game volume down and actually have to listen harder to hear people in a more then efficient headset. ~_~

Any advice to help me get the volume up?

I have the same problem and often find myself asking questions like "Sorry I couldn't hear you, now what?" or "What?".

    Default Straining to hear

I have the exact same problem. I have all sounds turned off, voice chat maxed, my headphones turned all the way up and I can barely hear. If I forget to take of my headphones when restarting the game, the game intro sound is enough to fry my eardrums. Something is not right with the voice chat.

I also agree with that, many people sound like they are practically whispering. Although I have noticed the opposite too. Some people's voice chat are so loud that I quickly have to remove the headphones.

I have had some people say they can't here me and had a few occasionally tell me to turn down my sound. So I am not sure what the issue is. Ventrillo, on the otherhand is always clear.

Given the fact that 2 and a half years later the voice chat is still either too quiet (I have everything else set to 0.05 and voice set to max and my speakers maxed and I still very often can't hear) or else so static-y and low quality as to be nothing more than a burst of white noise, I'm guessing it's just going to stay this way until the servers get shut down, eh?

This is true. I have all of my other audio levels set at single digits and voice volume at 100%. There are still times that I can't hear people very well.
