Strange artifact on gold rimmed exam windows

I have started getting a big grey square with white criss-cross lines in it at the bottom left hand corner of GOLD colored trim exam windows. Other colored rims are not affected.

I would post a picture of it here, but picture posting is not allowed. This problem is very annoying. May I please have some "technical Assistance"?

Why cant you post a picture, last time I checked I thought you can. but, anyways I have seen this too but it does not stay that way and its not really a tech issue, and more of a bug.

Well, thats very different then what I have seen. Anyways, it looks like either your videocard driver might need reinstalled or updated, sometimes going back to a older driver might fix a problem like this. Or DDO might be curupted and need to be fixed.

But it's weird that it only happens on THAT colored window. The others are fine.

I've rolled back to 2 previous version graphics drivers. Same result.

This problem has gotten quite annoying. Does anyone know if maybe the file for that particular piece of window may be corrupt and if I can delete it WITHOUT having to uninstall and re-install the game? IF, and a mighty IF, I have to re-install the game, is there something I can do to insure that ALL old files are deleted before I re-install the game?

Do you mean defaulting the graphics options?

I bit the bullet and uninstalled and re-installed the game. the problem cleared up.
