New Guild - Gimps

Greetings Ghallanda,

This is Woof, i originally came from Riedra but after the server merge i was shipped off to Khyber.
I have been playing on Khyber since the server merge until recently i purchased my own computer so i no longer had to share with my step father, but i had to track down a place that sold DDO to make a new account, and now have moved to Ghallanda and started new so i was on the same server as my step father.
I lead this guild on Khyber for a few weeks and enjoyed having the freedom of my own guild, not being ranted at for not wanting to participate in raids because i was busy etc, which i have been doing for over a year and have not found one i like.
First 5 people will be made officers to help recruit
I'll be happy to recruit anyone interested in joining, so if you're up for it please do any of the following.

Yeah i had fun to *writes down all the names to add to friends list*
I wont be on today because i found out what the problem was with my step dads computer, vista is very strict on what you can and cannot do with non-administrator accounts.
Now that ive fixed that for him hes downloaded all the game updates which lags the internet way too much to play DDO, but ill be back on as soon as i can with woofy (halfling bard) to start grinding to get my drow favor again, ive think im sitting at about 100 favor at the moment.

That phrase might actually turn people off of your guild. I would suggest rethinking that. No offense intended, just polite advice as that is the one phrase in your post that really stuck out at me.

I was referring to no longer have to listen to officers who know less about the game than me, your still welcome to join if you wish?

ahhh my guild sucks, 4 members, one of them a family member that i forced to join, 2 of them have been offline ever since i invited them and 1 guy who is online occasionally but completely ignores my tells and guild chat when i ask to group with him

not sure we count as a big guild anymore we used to have 40 actively playing members now we have 10-14. but way more important than how many people you have in your guild is the community you have built within your guild. The best thing to do is establish friendships with people then have them join your guild. from there let them build friendships and so forth and so on. It has been a very long time since i actually enjoyed the monotony of the game itself, however running with my guildies and officers is always a blast. A good guild is not an easy thing to build and maintain many things can happen to change the environment of a guild both within your control and out. just keep at it, seek great people regardless of their gaming skills and everything will work out for you. gl and best wishes.

Well, TO be honest, a Cool name goes a long way. A Derogatory Guild name isnt going to get much positive attention.

The number one thing on my list of "will i join guild XXXXX" is its name. if i dont like it then i'll never join it no matter who is in it, best friends included!

next on my list is i mus tgame with you a few times to see if i like your play style enough to want to group with you again.

Then its how many are on to group with

if i've gotten past theose 3 then i "might" join a guild and place them on a probation period to see if i like them.

Notice the trend here? i am vetting the guild, not them vetting me! if you want new guildies make sure you ahve a nice name, nice community feel, and are good to play with!

From someone who's held the reins of a smaller guild and is now just a regular old grunt in a larger guild where I have a ton of friends, being a grunt is wonderderful. I have a ton of fun and there's usually at least one or two guildies available to play with.
