    Default Small thing with Camo...

Admittedly, this is a small thing, but overall it should be noted..

When camo wears off, the effect stays on yout weapons.

Well, Since Camo is nothing but an entertainment spell anyway, I wouldnt of bug reported it..... There is zero practical use for Camoflage that I'm aware of..

You insult me (slightly) by saying there is zero practical use for camouflage. A few of my characters carry scrolls of camouflage with them for sneaking purposes when I solo and duo (or the rare group that is ok with me sneaking somewhere to do something that doesn't require the entire group).

The best use of camouflage/invisibility I can think of to date is by separating the first two vampire projections from the silver flame followers in The Cursed Crypt. Vampires see through invisibility and the camouflage/hide item allows all of my characters to separate the vampire singly, making for an easy vampire beating.

By the way, I do understand the "limited use" of sneaking in most groups and most situations for DDO.

DOnt you actuallyuse "Move Silently" while sneaking and moving rather than Hide? Camoflage has never helped me eliminate those little ref flashes under my feet.

THats might be something else for you to test out.... does Camoflage actually do anything..... I've found that even with the -5 Hide and Sneak skill on my cleric I can sneak past a LOT of mobs.

The act of sneaking invokes your move silently skill and your hide skill. The hide skill changes the distance you must be from a monster before it can see you (opposed by a spot check). The move silently skill is the distance you must be from a monster before it can hear you (opposed by a listen check).

A bad move silently skill paired with a good hide skill allows you to move monsters towards you slowly without them aggroing. A bad hide skill with a good move silently skill allows you to move around a monster without aggroing it so long as you do not allow it to be looking at you.

Monsters usually can see you 60 feet away when not in any mode that uses your hide skill. When your hide skill is in use (sneaking or invisible) that initial threshold drops (to 30 or 40 feet away). Some monsters with extended sight modify these distances (like giants). Just as well, the initial threshold for a monster to hear you is about 20 feet away when sneaking.

Edit: Due to where I am going in this thread I think I'll refrain from going further into the usefulness/uselessness of camouflage. I fear I might hijack it.

Sleep works wonders in that quest - sleep and deep slumber. Then kill everything that's not a prophet.

Kargon are big fan of haste/expedious/striding, and run back and forth like headless chicken away from then back to switches need to pull before kobold catch up. It help to yodel over micromaphone, even if running it solo. that least sneaky quemest in game!!!

I agree, Camo is the most annoying thing in the game, and the little show-boat rangers that cast the mass camo all the time for absolutely no reason just ROCK!! BUT, it is a bug, and should be fixed.
