fASCINAting TacTIcs?

I was curious how other people fascinate. Seems the only way my hideously unstealthy bard can fascinate is to run into a group of baddies and wail a song whilst getting beat on by them. There's got to be a better way but nothing else seems to work for me.

Haste? Expeditious Retreat?

I like to aggro a crowd of mobs and then run circles around them, fascinating them into a tight little ball of badness.

Kargon mostly see bard start fasciminate from a short distance and let about half the song play before even get near the mobs, then run circles around big group to gather them up (haste/striding/expedious handy for this). If are high enough levamel blur/displace work wondermers too for avoid get creamed while run around like headlamaless chicken.

fasciminate has a certain point near the end of the song which are when the fasciminate actuamally casts, dont have to have enemamies in range the whole song, just that moment.

As the previous people have mentioned you can time it. In fact, taking the time to learn how to time it can prove invaluable.

Personally, I tap my foot when the song plays to get the rhythm and then run as late as I think I can. The other tactic (being my bard is part ranger) is to put on expeditious retreat, jump, and ranger sprint boost. The speed running helps when you want to make sure you can keep yourself safe while clustering a group of nasties.

Thanks for the info. Spent some time soloing this eve and using y'alls advice got much better at gathering a captive audience with out getting the snot knocked out of me.

Haste on yourself, (and displacement if you got it)...

Start the song... let it play for about 2 seconds... then charge in...

It will take a few tries to get the timing right... It is possible to time it so it hits JUST as you run into the middle of all the mobs...

I was quite proud of myself the other night... Ran around the entire ring in VON 6... Fascinated every single critter without ever stopping... Did 3 perfect timed fascinates in a row...
