Wisdom and Casting

Hey all, PnP and Neverwinter Nights player here so I was curious about how wisdom effects spell casting. My basic question is, does your base non-buffed Wisdom have to be at a certain point to cast spells? Say a base Wisdom of 12 to cast second level spells or can one with a 10 Wisdom and a +2 Wisdom piece of equipment still be able to cast 2nd level spells? Thanks all.

Having the equipment on the boost your paladin's wisdom to meet the spell requirements is all you need. I do that with my paladin.

DDO Casting Requirement = CURRENT Ability Score

ie. 8 Base Wisdom + 3 Item = 11 = Ability to cast Level 1 Paladin Spells

Yep my friends ranger uses a wisdom item to cast spells....without it he can't.

So far not much, additional remove disease, lowered cost on LOH enhancements & additional smites per enhancement level, so far that's about what you are looking forward to.
