What do you work on?
If it has anything to do with sound, could you see about getting us some enhanced control over our sound settings? I'd really love to listen to DM voices (especially if we got Gilbert!!!!!!!), and sound effects, and music, but, sadly, I have to turn all of those off just to hear my fellow party members speaking. And if one of them happens to be very loud, I have to turn the volume down so low sometimes that I can't hear anyone else.

You see, when a developer does something bad, they are made to post in the forums so that all the players can jump on them with lots of questions and complaints.
Eladrin has been very bad lately.
You are a master coder that writes critical code to allow the system to function.
Ah, you are a shim artist. Did you shim last week... did you try to shim last week?
(Points for knowing what that is based on)

Seeing as how Dingo's Kidneys is rather a really obscure, random-seeming thing to reference I gotta ask...
Is this you on your secret LotRO forum account? http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=337468 (User Dingokidneys)
I love the korthos dm voice
my highest lvl char was only 7 so i havnt heard all of them, nor do i kno how many there are.
While I tend to agree that there is room for improvement in the voice acting, Gygax and Arneson created D&D and thru there creation we all have had countless hours of enjoyment. Both of them have memorials in this game as both have gone to the big game in the sky. So hears my point. Listen and enjoy they might not of have had the best voices but without those voices there would be no D&D or DDO.
sorry for the rant
The primary Korthos DM does a good job, but I have to wonder why his voice over for the line in "Sacrifices" of "The skeletal mage is put to rest" was redone by either a different voice actor, or in such a different tone, that it is extremely jarring to my ear when taking the Korthos experience as a whole.
I always "/kneel offers a quick prayer for guidance and protection to the great Dungeon Masters." at their respective shrines before running Delera's or Threnal. Their voices may not be Hollywood quality, with all the polish and consistency that entails, but they are wholly authentic to the classic DnD experience. As a long time PnPer, having started with the red and blue books, I have played under a lot of DMs, and it is the immersive, enthusiastic, story telling that makes a game memorable, not just the timbre of their voice.
I saw mention of an idea for a contest with players doing a voice over reading for a quest, and thought it to be a great endeavor Turbine should contemplate. I would even take it a step farther and have an open ended contest for players to submit quests for consideration for inclusion into the game. More than simple "I think it would be cool if we could do X" quest ideas, allowing player DMs to submit full adventures with maps, quest hooks, dialog, encounters, traps, and possible loot ideas would at the least provide some community stimulus to the level designers, and maybe find Turbine some new talent in the process. Perhaps even having a shady character in a bar that offers quests on a weekly rotating basis, with several quests per week spread across a range of party levels.
