1.5 is a perfectly reasonable price for a smiting rapier. I'm sure you'll get what you're looking for.

While i do agree the current economy is wacky and prices seem crazy - the plat is there. I'd say 1.5 is right about where an item like this should be, people have so much plat and there is just a ton of stuff that smites in the orchard. Also, those things that smite seem to do so a great deal more often than those who disrupt or even vorp. Smiters are very, very useful especially when they can crit 30% of the time.

I disagree. Not so much on the price part. You ask what you want for it. But on the usefulness of a smiter in the orchard.

I don't use my smiting scimitars in the orchard..ever. Nor do I use it in Fleshmakers, or the Mentau pre-raid, as all it ever seems to do is accumilate damage on the two characters that have them. Flesh golemns are, for some reason, insanely hard to smite even on normal. Maybe it's just personal experience..but rather than damaging an expensive weapon for little effect, I just pull out the adamantine and go to town.

Smiting is useful for a lot of other things, just not orchard, in my opinion.

A few times???? You smoking something? Or you just have an aura of luck about you 24/7?

Wednesday night, I farmed that thing from 9am centralto 12:31am central...alone until the last few hours, then guild jumped in. 15 hours...6 characters. Only 4 coronation shields, and 2 +1 tomes to show for it. No bloodstone. I get to waste another 15 hours on Monday, after ransack resets, and I have time. Quite possibly to fail again.

So yea..unless you constitut 15 hours straight (Stopping only to ****, eat, and strech after long hours of sitting) as 'a couple times,' You arefull of ****.
