    Default Another Elven Displacement fighter

    Well, I've been wanting to put together a fighter build to play around with as I normally make squishies like clerics/casters/or rogues. I wanted a build with good damage output, Made use of an extended Lesser Dragon Mark: Shadow (for displacement), A full UMD progression for restricted gear, and to make use of some of the elven enhancements like enchantment resist, and Weapon damage, and end up with OK saves for a mostly strait fighter. I chose to build around using TWF with two longswords for Roleplaying reasons, an elf, and wanted to go with slashing weapons.

    So here is my elven Displacement fighter or Songblade.

    By going Bard at first I get:
    1. Extra skill points for a variety of skills
    2. Access to Extend for the Dragon mark (should be about 17 minutes of displacement with all 6 displacements at 14)
    3. A full UMD progression for restricted gear
    4. A song for added to hit and damage
    5. Full bard wand usage, mainly for heal wands, etc.
    6. Access to 1 spell: I chose focusing chant for the +1 to hit, and +1 to skill checks (Insight bonus i believe)
    7. +2 to will saves and Reflex saves at first level.

    With elf I get:
    1. Elf weapon enhancements for a +2 to damage with Longswords
    2. Access to the Lesser dragon mark: shadow, for Displacement a 50% miss chance for enemies.
    3. Elven Enchantment resistance line, I think this would help to shore up my low will saves. I mean how many enchantment spells or effects are not will saves? gives an additional +4 to enchantments with elven enchantment resist II (+2 base for elf).

    Your math is a bit off in the AC area. 10+13+6+7+5+3+3=47. Maybe you didn't put something in your AC list? Like a deflection bonus?
    Per Cocomajobo - Ranged has easy access to AOE - apparently 3 feats, BAB 11 and Dex 19 is considered easy access these days. post here

    Thats a heck of a nice build. I love the AC and will saves, it should help you out real nicely. Many people say that AC doesnt matter in gianthold, but I know from experience that if your AC is at least 43 you will definately be hit significantly less than your basic 20's/30's AC front line fighters. You've got that and more!

    You even got in respectable fighter toughness for extra life and greater two weapon fighting. Move away folks, avoid the dual +5 Icy Burst Scimitars...

    Thanks, I'm going for versitility here, strong point of a fighter I feel. I'll have to see how it does and maybe do some further tweeking.

    interesting build, now since your specked as a twf whats your twf ac going to be? And wielding 2 longswords and using combat expertiese are you going to be able to hit and be functional on elite high level content? These builds are really hard to make because they end up being spread to thin, (feat and enhancement wise). Although, I like this one . I never used the dragonmarks. How long does the dissplacement effect last without extend?

    very good points there. I'll update all that into the listing. Now if i fit in the 2 elven enhancements to hit I can come out with a 30 to hit sword and board first swing, and 26 while two weapon fighting with 2 longswords on the first swing. If i'm using CE i'll be going sword and board, I would not be able to make it work otherwise I think. I'll go over my math afterwork and update some stuff.

    There we go, Edited my build to reflect the things pointed out above I was missing. After doing the math my attack was not as low as I was fearing with CE and TWF, fully self buffed. I just have to decide on my final feat and I may be on to something I hope. (I'll have to edit my enhancements to reflect my elf enhancements to hit)

    I did something somewhat similiar but went Fighter 8/Paladin 4/Rogue 2. This gives TWF and dragon marked displacement, full UMD, even better saves and evasion. Just as something to think about.... Paladin 4 also allows for extend plus you get pally immunities and save bonus and divine favor +2 to hit/Damage.

    Feats are a little tighter, I had to wait until 15 for combat expertise for example. In the end it will be Fighter 14/Paladin 4/Rogue 2.
