    Default Dev's - Cleric Spell Request....

    Since we are getting Cure Critical Mass (Thank You) would it be possible for us to get Death Ward Mass? Would this be appropriate as a Level 8 spell? I would think so since Cure Critical and Death Ward are both level 4. Given the direction some of the new quests are going this would be a useful spell.

    Actually if deathward mass were to be brought in game (as I recall now but MT will be here to correct me soon enough) it would have to be a level 6 or 7 spell.

    Even better... I did not have any reference handy and was just assuming it should be at the most a level 8 spell... thanks for the input though do you agree this would be a good addition?

    Deathward is nice, but (until Holy Burst Sword comes) we have Paladins to cast it. I really want Resist Energy:mass (1 type, all party) or Resist Energy:all (all types, 1 target) first.

    Out of the Spell Compendium, DW mass is a level 8 spell.

    The spell I'm really looking for is Earthquake. I look forward to casting it for the first time, making the whole instance rattle and everyone going ".... what the hell was that?"

    Agreed on the Resist Energy Mass.. That would be a great spell to have.

    As far as all types.. I would like to have the option to in the type selection screen for the current resist energy spell to select any combination of resists and have it charge me the proper amount of spell points for them. It would be useful to select fire, cold, and acid for example instead of having to select all. This would make buffing easier.

    I agree with you, I would rather choose the spells then u can save sp for the resists you didn't cast, or didn't need. Then have the proper amount of sp taken.

    It just allows the clr more flexability in their spells. But I am definetely up for the resist mass spell and DW mass, I have used DW as much as heals lately due to quests in Necro, House J and others that call for it.

    how about the cleric spell, "End Stupidity." It causes "that one guy" (and you all know them) to have a computer shutdown, thus ending his stupidity, and freeing up the spot for a better player!!!

    "Mass" spells should not exist as separate spells. They should be some sort of meta-magic-like toggle to cast buff spells on individuals or as an AoE on friendlies. Have the cast cost 3x or 4x the SP, whatever you think is appropriate.

    If you are concerned about how easy it might become for folks to toss mass buffs mid-battle then have a casting delay for spells less than 2 spells levels under max casting level.

    Mass cast is 90% convenience and 10% strategy. I think a cast toggle could be made to retain the strategy component and eliminate the inconvenience.

    That is how it's done in paper, and where ever we can, we should stick to that.

    There is nothing wrong with casting a group buff in the middle of combat. In fact, sometimes it might be a good tactic.

    That's a very interesting idea! Although, (most of) the mass spells and their spell levels are directly from PnP. So, I can't support it fully. But, it is interesting.
