    Default fighter or pally lvl

So for my new cleric I am going to take a lvl of either fighter or pally. Just not sold on either yet. I am going the route of a balanced cleric. He will be able to fight he will also have a maxed wisdom. I am leaning more towards pally since the fighter feat would only gain me either power attack or improved crit if I waited that long to take it, which also doesn't realy appeal to me. also the pally feat would mean I keep my sp up to the highest possible. What are peoples thoughts?

Not too sure I mean it is a valid question as far as your CHA goes... should you care to splash multiple pally levels latter. As far as getting marshal weapons either Pally or fighter will do that. Pally will add a +1 ac and an aura, Fighter tower shield and a fighter feat. I do not think one level of pally will keep your sp up, I may be wrong there ... A pally does not spells until level 4 and the SP pool for them does not begin until 4th level pally.
