I am wondering if it is possible and viable to put on both power attack and combat expertise on a fighter, or would that put your to-hit too low?

They are both stances so you can't have both on at the same time (if you have one on and hit the other it turns the 1st off...)

While you cannot use them at the same time... you can use either one or the other at differing times. It's not too shabby to use PA on when you're dealing with trash mobs then turning CE on for a boss.

Not to mention both are pre-reqs for good combat feats with cleave and improved trip.
