Default Idea's for Guild Hall Features,

These are some features and/or workings that I have seen in other games, and some of my own, that I think would work well in DDO and be a great addition.

    Guild Hall,

1- A common hall for every guild, free to use. In the harbor. No special qualities other than each guild enters into its own instance. (free to use)
1a- Purchasable upgrade to act as an Inn for purposes of healing. (50k Gp)
3a- purchasable updrage, Barkeep (35K Gp)
2a- purchasable upgrade, Priest for raise point (35K Gp)
1B- Free to start Bank Rep (see Bank Rep Below)
Note: In essence the guild gets a private Tavern, great for smaller guildes just starting out.

2- Bank Representative. This is the Guild's communal Banker. He is in the clan hall. He keeps track of individuals Guild Favor (if you will). Base Ratio of 10G deposit = 1 Favor/GP withdrawal. Guild leaders could later modify this setting to a ration they see fit for thier guild. like 20:1, 50:1 etc... The Loose change can be spent by guild leaders (and officers) to buy later guild hall upgrades and/or house services.
2a- House K charges a 10,000 Gp fee per week for this
2c- starting slots = 100 items, unlimited loose Change.
2d- additional slots can be bought @ extra 20 per 100K Gp, 1 x fee.
Edit: Guild favor points would then be spendable at a rate of 1 pt per 1 Gp of items value in the guild bank, thus if you put in 300K gp worth of items/loose change, you could take out a +1 tome of 30K value some one else put in (if guild leader keeps the basic 10:1 ratio; but the 1:1 ratio of withdrawal would be set, non changeable). Also a log of these transactions would be kept by the banker, that lasts say 48 hours, so the guild can see who deposted what, and what the leader sold off for coinage to stash. The leader of the guild would have to have the ability to auto sell stuff in the stash, without ever removing it. The sell rate would be same as a barkeep, with haggle of +0. This would add coin to stash for rent, other hall upgrades.

3 House Guild Hall. A Guild hall inside one of the major houses. Or in the market place for Coin Lord Houseing, Desert Wagon/Harbor for Free Agent. Basically depending on the local or Favor type, that house. (Silver Flame in Catacombs area, Soverign host in the Temple in House D). To get this housing, the Combined Guild favor for The chosen house would have to equal 10,000, thats 50 Toons at 200 favor each in a particular house, AND a cost of 500,000 Gp. Rent per Week: 25K GP

The bonuses of House Guild Halls-
-Services & Trainers that come from that house, are at -20% cost.

    - general upgrades to in House Halls
    -- Tavern Regen (100K GP)
    -- Barkeep (50K GP)
-- Priest (100K Gp) this priest would be of appropriate faith if hall is in Silver Flame or Soverign Host, and cost -20%
-- The Banker if in House K Hall -20%, guild bank slots also -20%.
-- Trainers Cost 100K Gp per MAXIMUM trainable level. For discount, figure -20% for the house that the current 10+ trainer resides in.
-- General Vendor (CL or Free Agent?) 50K GP
-- Buffs (house P, Soverign Host, Silver Flame??) 500K GP and normal costs per buff appies.

Other Vendors who take up more space would need a Vendor Room Purchased. The Addition costs 500K Gp.
-- Weapon Smithy associate of house D (repairer/seller) 100K GP, 500K GP for no chance of perma damage.1,000,0000 Gp ability to repair perma damage.
-- Armor Smithy Associate of house K (same as above)
-- Jeweler (Coin Lord?) see above
-- Clothier (CL ??) see above
-- Reagent Vendor (CL?) 500K GP
-- Potions Vendor (CL?) 500K Gp
    -- Scroll Vendor (above)
    -- Wand Vendor (above)

-- PvP area (House D) 1 mill Gp (also a seperate area, could choose any type from eshisting PvP areas, or a flat open space?)
Another Room would have to be added for Teleporters, 500K Gp for the room. Guild members using other Teleporters/spells etc the option to go to thier HAll if it has a Teleporter Room addition. GREATER TELEPORT spell does NOT have the option to bring you there, keep non guildies out security type thing.

-- Teleporter (House Orien?) acts same as others in houses, 1 mill Gp
-- Greater Teleporter (Orien?) acts as Grtr T port when u step in, choose destination, 10 Million Gp and pay 1K Gp per use.

-- Others I missed?? such as Trophie cases? Decorations? Music? Dancers? Perma Dancing Sphere? etc...

With the Guild Hall addition, a Rank system should be put in place. Right now we have officer/leader. At least add Senior Officer above reg officer for purpose of using guild funds for upgrades/services/naming lesser officers.
A more in depth Rank system could be set up by the leader, the More Guild favor you have the higher your rank, the higher your rank, the bigger a daily alotment of withdrawal from the bank is. For this I point to the simple Karma system the game KoL uses. (kingdom of Loathing).

I appreciate any and all feedback, And encourage other constructive ideas. I hope the Develepors take our wishes/suggestions in the good faith that they are given, and put them to good use.

pretty reasonable. lots of variety, plenty of money sinks. Might actually work to regulate the economy a little bit, at least for a day or two.

Nice ideas, idk about location in the harbor though, maybe the marketplace would be better, there is more open space there than the harbor area. otherwise it looks pretty good

That was one of the reasons for all the costs. I see a LOT of plat floating around, and AH prices are still way out there, even after the merger. Supply and demand didn't really balance out IMO.

Cool Ideas but some items dont make sence and also the pricing is way off. Ok first Price. Assuming i buy every thing on that list except the Greater Teleport ( as my guild has a ton of high lvl casters), The Brawling Area(My guilds not that into pvp), The spare room, and the Trainers(As running to my guild house would probably take about the same amount of time as getting to a normal one), the total cost come out to about 647,000p. Now I play the game every night about 5 or 6 hours. I', not that into farming plat either. I have on one my characters combines about 350,000p. Thats half of everything my guild might want without hitting other people up for cash.

Now as for the faction you have a couple of people in your guild with multiple toons over 1750 favor and bam you have your favor.

As for Items. The greater Teleport is really not that useful as its way cheaper to just buy a mage a scroll and pop into an instance. Even with a raid TS requires no previous quests to hop into.
And as with the trainers it would be about the same distance to your guild house as to the regular trainer.

But again this is not a thread shooting you down. I really like your ideas the just have to be upgraded a little do to so many people having most of what your asking for already.

Yeah, those were just my initial thoughts on pricing. What I originally thought, was the base cost woudl be X, and then have a WEEKLY Cost for EACH thing, that is say 1000 Gp per week per Member/Toon. The only reason I did not post this initially, was simply that i dont know how hard that mechanic would be to implement. And I did not go higher because there are guilds of Casual players who would be farming just to get/keep these things, And I dont believe they should be forced to join a bigger guild Just for a Clan hall.

Also on the teleporter note: A new item that could be purchased, say a trinket, that each individual member could buy once they have a T porter, that instantly 1x per rest takes them to guild hall, say 10,000Gp cost. Something else I left out of the original post, but had thought of.

My one request is that guild leaders could choose the kind of hall we wanted some ideas are:

Sewers(thet we kicked the kobolds out of)
    the clasic keep
    Abandoned W.F. Forge
A cave (That we kicked Hobgobs out of)
An old busted up ale house
A tomb (that we kicked a wizzie king out of)
A Pocket Demention (that we kicked a dragon out of)

    More to come

    Great ideas btw

    Good stuff!

I would also suggest the following, perhaps in addition to the initial purchase cost of a guild hall and also in light of the idea of a variety of different types of guild houses...

In order for a guild to earn their guildhall, they have to undertake a quest/raid. Both the guild leader and guild heir would need to be in group. Or perhaps a certain number of officers along with the guild leader. This quest/raid would be set at and arround the guild hall and the group would have to "clean out" the location before being able to use their new guild hall...

    Default Guild Halls

I like the idea of different types of Guild Halls - free in the harbor and then more expensive in different areas.

I like the idea of the guild buying stuff to upgrade it - that would make all the guild halls different - it would be neat to be able to visit other guild halls like in a foyer area to see what they have done different.
Zaxen 12 fighter/2 pally/2rogue, debutaunt 16 sorc, reckon 15 cleric, graxes 16 ranger, lizzi 11 rogue/4 ranger, Graxen 13 fighter, Robinna 12 ranger, Grexes 7 barb. Retired Elleron 14 wizard, Ekellon 10 ranger, Axen 15 fighter, Rustalot wf wizzy, Karel 13 paladin.

The idea of visiting other peoples guild halls, I can see maybe the "tavern" section of it being OPTIONALLY public to outsiders, or those given a 'temporary visitor status'. But that is another thing for where I would wonder of the mechanics. I am sure each guild would NOT have a seperate door, as the number of guilds exceeds the number of available doors, or soon will.

That is why i said assign door 'X' in each house/area, then your guild membership gets u in the proper 'instance' with only your guild members, similar to the way 5 groups can be walking into the same door of different Reaver Raid instances (and all others). Of course, I suppose given a visitor pass, might open a selection similar to a teleporter? to achieve choosing which hall to go into (that you have access too). Again, only in the 'tavern' or even a simple deco'd welcome room that displays trophies? memoribilia (such as un assigned raid loot? or raid items that can be put in and not removed as a trophie case? I have a few extra ring of lies around somewhere....
