Thread: I need a link

    Default I need a link

Ok, so here is what I am looking for.

I want to keep sort of a character sheet of my girls... something sort of simple like just main stats, lvl, class and maybe a place for a pic of them...

this comes up because I am always seeing these cute little sheets for WOW characters... *blah*

I am too untechy like to know how to build this, but I wanted something I could link to my blog or Xfire... I often try to remember stuff about one of my girls and am at work and can't look...

Any ideas guys for a quick program, link or widget that will accomplish this?

And if there isn't one... ummm who do I con into making one for me???

    See ya in Stormreach,

    Row,

You'd have to hand-write in the items, but you can do stats, feats, and enhancements on Ron's Character Planner and print it out. Then just note your items by paperdoll slot. Or were you looking for something prettier/fancier?

If you were to move your guild website to guildportal, you can update all your character info on there. It's pretty handy....
I play on Ghall...Gall..Galli...The new Fernia. Lifetaker, Heartbreaker, and Battlemage
Terrakal: Roguey Stabby guy. Gyness the Stout: I drink to hide my rage. Gyshe: Race: Elf. Class: Elf. Roomsweeper: Boomsticks. Ramparts: Pally Intimitank. Crucible: Hammer and Tongs. And Shafted: Cleric* Archer *Not a cleric.

    Hiya Rowan,

Well.. there are only a three ways I am familiar with how to do this.. and two of them are for pen and paper.

    1. You can download the actual character sheets from WOTC

    2. You can download a program that tracks your character.. more for pen and paper. One I have used that is based on excel is THE ONLY SHEET

    3. I know some of us have guild websites with guildportal.com. I believe you could create your own site (if you don't have one) and it has the ability to track some of your stats under character development

    hope that helps

    Default hmmm

Ron's character builder is AWESOME...but I wanted something linkable... something I can fill in from work...or peruse while at work

I was actually thinking of something guild portalish but not...

I have characters on 4 servers and several guilds... and sometimes I have the same name in several... I can't keep up

I also wanted something I could link to from my blog page or my xfire profile... or from my DDO sig since there is no more than 4 lines now LOL

The problem with guild portals is people would have to have permission to see my roster... which sort of defeats the point...

Couldn't some wonderful person code something...

    AHEM

    *wink wink*

    See ya in Stormreach,

perhaps you could try this one.. Its a spreadsheet that I developed to do basically the same thing. You could save it to google-spreadsheets but you lose out on some of the features by doing that.

    WOW... I mean WOW

I think my head just exploded... but WOW

That is an awesome little tool... WOW

I am gonna have to play with it

Am I supposed to know all this LOL

good lord *pictures the hours she is gonna spend filling this out *

Not exactly what I wanted but pretty darn close.. I could save them to a google spreadsheet once I was done with them and wouldn't have to worry about the function part, right? And keep a hard copy at home? (how do I save this?)

How much can I edit this thing?

    OMG there are three tabs...

    WOW

Ummm ya'll have WAAAYYY too much time on your hands

    *hugs binnsr*

That sheet is the culmination of over a year of tinkering with builds and in fact, started out as a simple chart for skills..

Any field in light blue is editable - most of them are drop-down toggles. (I left the Feats section (AD2-AF20) as alternated blue/white lines to help break it up and ease readability)

To 'build' a character, there are only a few things you need to fill in.
    1) race and build-points (a2 & a3)
    2) spend points - G2-G7 and add tomes and items (I2-7 & L2-7)
    3) fill in class levels and feats (AA2-AF21- also add your level attribute raises (AC5, AC9 and AC13)
    4) fill in enhancements (I use tihocan's enhancement tool to fill these usually even though the descriptions are lifted from Rons files)
    5) toggle appropriate buffs and items in the skills, attack, hit point, saves and AC sections as needed
    6) select armor, shield and power item from the dropdowns
    7) If you want to record your equipment, fill in the RagDoll lines at E70+ and the Raid items at A70+
