How delightfully Horrorshow! (thats NocSog, if any of ya know what I mean).

Unfortunately, I'll be working and unable to attend.

Nevertheless, thanks for doing this for us -- I'm sure those who aren't on the job will enjoy it.

Same boat as music man, might be able to make it home for part of it depending on how long the event is.

Default Full Event Rules And Info !

IRONWOLF " TRICK OR TREAT " MYSTERY EVENT

START TIME - OCT 31TH @ 7PST IN DELERA'S GRAVEYARD Run time around 1 hr depending on turnout and questers.

C'mon Thelanis ! let us show that our roleplay event hearts are still beating !! http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...inaltrick2.jpg

This is an interactive roleplay experience where you play the part and make decisions that are going to work for or against you in the journey to solve the
mystery. I decided to direct this event in this manor because to my knowledge this style has never been attempted before. The style of play requires the person to be attentive and watch the opening scene fairly close. There will be clues in the scene that are up to the individual to understand and take from it what they can. After act 1 everyone is on their way.

The interactive part works just like a key unlocking a chest. As you adventure through the quest you find RPC's " roleplay chars that are actually holding key clues for your advancement. To engage the char you send a /tell to him or her stating who sent you and why you are here. You then choose from six emotes to use.

    EMOTES - Laugh / Cry / RUNAWAY / Beg / Dance / Hug / Shrug / Wait

Each Trick or Treat char RPC you find will have a special sweet spot. Based on knowledge you have found or simple hints they may offer you it's possible to hit it. It is up to you to use one emote to try and get the right skill check and open up that char to giving in to you and liking you enough to grant you an excellent clue to the next step and so on. Each clue lvl depends on the emote check. Some may even like your style enough to lay a nice item on you right on the spot along with your clue to advance the quest and storyline. But again thats based on our well thought out system.

You must let that char know who sent you to them in order for them to want to talk to you by using /tell. There will also be clues in open chat to help the ones that don't get the higher lvl clues.

There is also an element of a race involved folks . The ones who are faster and get lucky on the emote checks and have the ability to follow story lines and such will see things that others may not. But don't worry there will be plenty of excitement for everyone. This is a pretty deep adventure but we also made it friendly to everyone.

Note : To be successful you might want to pay close attention to the opening act and also know that its up to you to engage the chars for information simply by doing the emote you think would best suite them in their situation.

Example - Oddimus the rogue just found person " B " he was searching for.
Oddimus then sends a /tell saying ... hello I was sent from person
    " A " to find you and ask about subject " X ".

Trick or Treat RPC will then gage your emote based on their
personality and the preset answer they have.

The RPC then will offer up more of the storyline to you engaging
    you deeper into the mystery.

This style is good because only the people following the story will know how to engage the RPC this eliminates cheating and such. You will also want to keep these clues closely guarded so you don't lose your edge.

    PRIZES

YOU have a chance for a prize at each person you find.

The first place winner will get a vorpal. This is the person that completes the story and the quest with the knowledge needed .

Second , third and fourth place will receive tomes and to my knowledge there are Tapestry pieces and shield pieces up for grabs. alright !

The other prizes will be excellent weapons and such randomly given out.

Oh and don't worry we have plenty of bloopers to hand out as well... singed sorewood anyone ?

    EXPECTATION OF QUESTERS

please do not shout out any clues.
please listen and be still during the Acts so everyone has the chance to watch and note the events.
Please understand that these RPC''s you're seeking are stationary for the most part but sometimes they may be hidden fairly well. Be a little patient and keep trying it's well worth it.

To make this as smooth as possible please keep your own general chatter off.

Simply find the right char , engage him/her with a /tell saying why you are here and then emote them with your best choice. Sit back and watch the action unfold and then your off again...

The ending is going to also be interactive , meaning you will actually play the part in it. Good times !

REMEMBER... ENGAGE ALL TRICK OR TREAT IRONWOLF RPC CHARS We have eyes everywhere watching you go along, you may want to do certain
things at different places you never know what could happen ... for example " beg at a headstone to summon..... ? well uh you get the idea.

ALSO CHECK BACK ON THIS POST FOR SMALL CLUES IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

    STORYLINE

Something strange is going on in the Graveyards of Stormreach lately. You notice a ritual going on and decide to explore into it more. What is going on here ? You ponder... maybe I should talk to everyone here afterwards to see if I can understand it . I am always seeking adventure and riches to enhance my skills and existence..... onward I go...

You didn't actually expect me to post the storyline did you ? What shenanigans =)

Good luck everyone and see you there ! .... I .W.

    Default update... sorry to announce...

There have been some scheduling issues come up folks and the event is going to be moved up one day to 7pst Oct 31st. This is to ensure the best player ran event possible. Some unfortunate scheduling events happened to a few actors .We know the new time is on Halloween and some wont be able to attend but this is the only way we can bring a good production to the table. A note to those that will be here ... It will be neat to have it on Halloween in a way and perhaps there will be some fun involved in that.

Default Happy Halloween. Tonight 7pst Delaras Graveyard.

Just to recap how easy and user friendly this event is.

You will arrive in Delara's Graveyard at 7pst. Instructions will be given out to those that miss the threads.

The first act starts ... relax ,watch and listen. It wont last long.

Remember to talk to anyone that is a " Trick or Treat Ironwolf " RPC by
simply /tell hello blank person sent me for blank reason

The RPC chars will talk in general chat but it wont be that valuable to you. So
what you want to do is engage them for clues.

Once they see your /tell and it correctly states why and who sent you... they will be unlocked for you to try and charm for your benefit.

Remember each RPC has a sweet spot emote to them, you get one chance
to hit it. If you hit it you will get the best clue there is . If not you will get
a little lesser clue . There are 3 degree's. You can only emote a char once and only after they point at YOU. Then based on what you know about them or the situation use your best judgement. On to the next and so on until you solve the overall mystery of the Graveyards of Stormreach.

Also note that RPC'S may respond better to some roleplay words ... example greetings I am seeking the ..... I was sent by ..... in hopes of locating ...... Can you help me ?

Instead of /tell hey give me my clue dude. =/

    Well you get the picture.

Also some RPC's will actually give you insight on what /emote to try on the next person to hit that sweet spot. Take their advice lightly as you never know.

In the olden days of Thelanis we had a huge turnout for guild ran server events. I hope to still see that fire burning in you guys out there. Lets see what guild can get on these boards for solving the event. Oh and i'm getting tired of holding onto these great items to give away. =) I.W

HERE IS THE KEY FOR EVERYONE TO SEE http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g1...nsandorder.jpg

To clear up the confusion of who hosted this event. This was a guild Ironwolf event. It just happens that two former members of Ironwolf decided to form a razor something guild the night before the event and try and cash in on the publicity for their new guild. It was sad to see that happen. I wish them luck though. Aside from that mission accomplished and thanks for playing.
