I checked the job listing for Turbine.

It's promising.

DDO Specific jobs:

Art Lead – Dungeons & Dragons® Online
Level Designer - Dungeons & Dragons® Online
Script Designer - Dungeons & Dragons® Online
Lead Game Systems Engineer - Dungeons & Dragons® Online
Staff Game Systems Engineer - Dungeons & Dragons® Online

There are a number of other positions that don't list a specific MMO, so could well apply to DDO, LoTR and other projects.

Hiring an art lead, 2 designers and 2 engineers is a really good sign that there's a lot of stuff to come.

I would only consider it positive if the positions are new positions, and not to replace people who are leaving.

If it is people leaving who need to be replaced, then it could be considered a bad sign....

Anyone from Turbine care to comment on whether these are new positions or replacements?

this is far from uncommon... the part about "month to month basis" that is

After looking at the employment section I think it may be more of a positive that they are hiring a brand marketing manager... assuming the DDO will be part of that postions marketing duties....
