Thread: SD Fire Safety

    Default SD Fire Safety

I just wanted to say that to those in the affected areas, my prayers are with you.

I hope those of you on stand by for evacs dont wait too long.

Horrendous traffic and road closers are going to make leaving next to impossible.

Be safe all and good luck during this trying time.

I know, 1 of my bosses called. One is north of him but..

As for me here in Chula Vista, I am exposed to the smoke from the one on 94/Otay lakes road.

You shoulda SEEN the sun thiis morning glowing bright red through all that smoke.

Yeah, I drove to work only to find out it was closed for the day. I only noticed a tiny bit of ash falling around my truck when I left this morning, but I'm pretty close to the shore and about equidistant between the two fires (live on the Mission Bay/Point Loma border, minutes from Sea World).

I'm surprised you're still at work Cupcake. I was driving north to work and thought to myself "****, the highway is pretty empty". Then I got to my business park - whoa, now THAT was empty.

Ya. Just talked to my main boss. He is staying home. I told him that the smell of smoke was in the office and semi bad outside. He goes "you have air conditioning you will be fine." pfft.

Pfft, your main boss is a tool. Air conditioning isn't made to filter the air.

Unless the place is burning down, I am to sit here and answer the phones in hopes that new clients will call. That is his thinking.

And I just had an obscene (sorta) phone call.

Prayers also for your family there Sem.

Very sad situation for those that have lost their homes etc.

Life is more important to save, but I tell you, its a horrible sight to watch on TV. Fire can be quite nasty.
