I looked it up and there is like 40websites or more dedicated to ZOD, and his phrase Kneel before me, for presidant or whatever else they have and at the bottom.... there is nothing from DC, or Warner Brothers, so you really think that they are going to come after Turbine for one character when they have all this to deal with? Your correct in that its HIGHLY unlikely the owners of the copywrite care about what a gamer does. You must accept however that they have the right to cover their tails 100% when they wish do do so. I do not agree with their choice, and you should definetly have been given more time to decide on a new name. Ultimately as someone else pointed out, you cannot change their decison only react to it.

On a side note, why not add a random name generator option so people can just hit random like they can do for appearance. This could pull from a database which Turbine has legal control over. Just a thought...

I may have mis-understood your posts, but were you claiming that you were unfamiliar with the DC character, because if you were, I would call shenanigans. I would call that the equivalent of naming your guy "Tickk SPOOOOON" and saying you had no idea there was a copyrighted character named "The Tick."

Regardless, someone who was no familiar with Zzod may have reported you based on you last name. I could see someone finding that offensive (even if it was not intended as such.)

Regarding support staff... no offense, but given what you are portraying your mental state as during this incident, might you have ticked off the support guy? Calling my IRS auditor a "taint-sucking, weevil-narded, spawn of a fat guys flesh fold jam" certainly isn't going to help my tax-return.

Personally, I have no issue with name-reporting, but I'd never do it to something that actually fits in the world, and Zzod has the right feel to it. The various "Carpetmuncher" and "Lappdancer" type names... yeah. I'll more than happily report those.
