Whats this worth in comparison to a rapier? and to a Shortsword?

It would be about the same to a shortsword as they have the same crit range, but any crit based rapier is worth a bit more. With Imp Crit Piercing, you can crit on 15....13 if you are a barbarian with all the feats.

But, in the end, any item is worth as much as someone will pay/trade for it.

Remember, this is all my opinion, others may think differently.

I just acquired the dagger and was wondering if anyoen woudl trade a rapier for it. I would include other goodies and mayeb a secodn dagger if I can get my hands on one which is a possibility.

Rapiers are extremely rare and extremely valuable. I'd say at minimum 3-5x more valuable than the dagger. Daggers are nice but rapiers in the hands of barbarians are top of the line.

I have a +2 Frost Greataxe Disruptor I'd add in.

What you have to understand is that people don't tend to have WofP rapiers that they are just sitting on. Theres just not enough of them so finding one on the forums is going to be very unlikely especially considering nearly everyone has said weapon listed in their "Wants" list.

Occasionally you'll find one put up for trade/auction but those are few and far between.

I believe what Pecky is trying to say is that it is probably the most sought after weapon in the game and it would take numerous 'uber' items to remove one from the owners hand is all.

i think that 2 w/p daggers and a +2 frost disruptor would be worth the same. You're right though finding soemone with one is the issue.

well in my estimation.. if i had a w/p rapier.. i would not trade it for the 3 items you just mentioned

I have three w/p rapiers, one in the bank just for backup. Truth is I haven't thought of anything or any combination of things that would get me to give one up.

WP SS > WP Dagger, simply because there are no "dagger" enhancements while "Drow", a common ranger/rogue class receive SS enhancements for hit/dmg.

Obviously, this makes the most common +1 WP SS a +3 equivalent in their hands (at max enhancement).

Rapier is of course, worth a pair of daggers, maybe SS.

The Wounding of Puncture high crit items are hard to come by. I built a Ranger (probably the most successful in my guild) and I've been given 2 Wounding of Puncture Rapiers and 2 Short Swords by my guildies. No trading, they just gave them to me.

Alot of people do sit on these items, even more people build rogues/rangers just because they found a wounding of puncture. In the end the wounding of puncture weapons will make a difference, but 9/10 times if the player isn't good or the build is poor then they probably wont make enough difference.

I could count 10 ranger/rogue's the span Sarlona that have impressed me. If I were you I would just trade the blasted thing for 2-3 high end rare items.

Relieve yourself of this curse to hunt down the second wounding of puncture and just trade them to someone who deserves it more.

i have one w/p dagger and my guildie has a second unused dagger so mission succesful hopefully. I am building a Halfling UMD (send the RR w/p my way ) TWF Crit Rage BArbarian for these suckers.

Think about your build, w/halfling..if your going barb u want str/con for your build,,,Maybe think about going elf or even drow..bump str up a bit and also can get + hit/dam with elf using Rapier/ls or drow SS/rapiers and u can still have your nice crits on 13 if u go pure barb

Theyre daggers not SS or Rapiers so elf/drow doesnt help. I rather take a STR hit with Halflign then a Con Hit with elf.
