Default Starting permadeath guild - Untwinked

I'm starting a permadeath guild on Khyber because despite my best efforts I've been unable to find anyone to no-twink PD with (even over on Argonnessen). This may be because I'm in Australia and if "off-peak" times.

I'm not trying to compete with any other PD guilds out there andsplit numbers. If anyone has a PD player-base already that just doesn't play "off-peak" all the time so I've missed you, please let me know and I'll join you and encourage other off-peak players to play there too.

The name is uncreative but descriptive in the hope people can find us easily and know what we're about. Any mature and considerate players wanting to play by the rules are welcome.

    Basic no twinking, PD set-up.

    1. Must be level one to join.
    2. Strictly NO twinking.
    3. If your character dies it must leave the guild (or be deleted) unless you are ressed in the adventure by a member of the party who was in the adventure when you died.
    4. Rest shrines are allowed, but not res shrines.
    5. If your character dies, you may pass on one item to another of your characters as an "heirloom".
    6. If they can recover your stone, surviving party members may loot one item each (or stack of items) from your corpse.
    7. No use of the auction house.
    8. Don't exit and then re-enter a quest unless it has reset (unless a group mate gets into trouble after you've left, in which case you may go back in to help).
    9. No grouping except with guild or with a member of another stict PD, non-twinking guild member with similar rules to ours.
    10. Gifts or trades of any sort from characters outside the guild are prohibited.
    11. You may run whatever quests you like and repeat them if you like, but diversity is encouraged.
    12. Have fun, enjoy the content, don't spoil surprises for others, role-play is encouraged.

If you want in, just approach anyone from the guild and let them know. Or PM me and I'll arrange to sign you up. To facilitate grouping and guild growth I will make all bona fide members officers and rely on the maturity of players willing to play PD rules.

I got nothing better to do, and I'm used to being kicked out of guilds. Hit me up if you get this **** started. I'll make a level one.

Forgive me, I'm trying to understand the concept.
What's the difference between being rez'd by a shrine or a cleric,
as long as you're still in the adventure and don't release?

its just one of the global rules of permadeath.

i'll be honest. there is no way that i would ever join a permadeath guild that could take any of my items. i currently have a non-twinked equipment bard (i made a personal exception for potions and wands because he solos a lot) and he has had some amazing pulls that i would be slightly irritated if someone else took (+4 rr human mithral full plate to be exact - not to mention his lesser bane collection from collectibles).

I read it too quickly and was caught on the no Rez shrine thing.
I agree, I'd never join a group that made me hand over items.
I already give away a bunch, to friends, guildies, and newbies I meet.
But giving freely is different than being TOLD you must.

Mortal Voyage is active on Argo has even more strict rules than these .. I'm surprised you couldn't find them. I mean .. there's all these PD guilds with ever so slight rule variations popping up all over the place, most of which don't (and won't) last. It would be nice to be able to have one large PD guild on every server - as that's the most crucial element to a PD guild - member activity.

And just a quick comment about twinking .. having played under a ruleset that didn't allow twinking but allowed the use of the broker, and also a ruleset that allowed twinking but didn't use the broker .. guess which character had better equipment? Broker usage *is* twinking. Because they are a dime a dozen on the AH and Broker, people think staple survival items like Invulnerability robes, Deathblock robes, Mod Fort belts, Improved/Greater resist cloaks, Improved/Greater Resist robes etc. are common .. but it's highly likely you will never loot one. Even something like +5 plate .. they are always for sale at the Broker.

    Default I'm in!

I've been holding one slot open since mod 5 for a PD guild.

I'm willing to roll anyhting you need except a CLR. (Nobody wants me as their life-line).

PM me if you have room. I'd really love to try permadeath out.
... I hate you all. really.

Okay - some interest in this, including from a well-established guild. I'm just waiting to bed down some details with a guild presently interested in establishing a PD corps and then I'll PM everyone who has expressed interest to let you know how to get involved.

Sorry guys - no it's not dead. I've been a bit jammed lately, but there is talk of starting a permadeath arm connected to the Deathwatch Guard.

I'm trying for an in-game hook up with the leader of that guild and hope to be able to post details soon.
