    Well, I've been invading Sigtrent's thread for long enough (Sorry, Sig.). I figured I'd post my own thread for those wanting builds.

    1- Post requested Race and Classes, as well as what roles you would like to fill in a party.

    2- I start with items/buffs I feel are pretty common, I also include best case numbers.

    i would like a Dwarven Battle bard that has evasion and high AC but still Gets elvel 9 Bard, i will be using the Delving suit and DA's. Sword adn board pleaz and i would like his name to be Durken Stoncleaver, High saves as well would be nice since i'll have evasion adn pretty decent attack if possible i'd also like to have rogue skills, high UMD, adn perform of coarse, and Tumbe, i dont have 32 point so if you think drow would be better then use that.

    Well, asking for quite a lot, but I'll try.


    This build is going to be purely buffer/healer/fighter, as with all the things we're trying to accomplish here, we don't have the room to be an offensive caster. You will be needing Cha items as you go up in level to cast your spells. You should be able to handle pretty much all the traps in the game (except "The Trap"). Your UMD is up there, as well as Perform, your Tumble is enough to Tumble and that's about it as there weren't enough skill points for anything else.

    Glad I could help.

    Just remember to tell people you are not a CC Bard, and you may have issues pulling Rogue duties on High level Elite quests.

    I originally posted this in sigs thread but I wouldnt mind a few variations
    Gear is not an issue. I can get whatever is needed.

    First I would like to request a battle cleric. Greataxes, Able to heal the party if need be. Superior Melee damage and a decent DC on offensive casts.

    Second I would like A TWF Rogue that uses slashers. Can keep up on all traps, cabal is a bonus but ill get over it if not, twists are always interesting. Would prefer WF, If WF must be able to self heal via reconstruct, if none WF, must be able to self heal via Heal. Scrolls or otherwise.

    Well, I decided to post the Battle Cleric first, since it is much easier.

    When you join a party, tell them to consider you a Paladin. You are not a primary healer. You can be for most the way up, but then you can't have fun. I went with Wand enhancements rather than Life spell enhancements, as you will want to save your SP for buffing/cc, also this will help with your Heal scroll use, upping the amount healed to 143 HPs. You can use a Heal scroll, through Caster Level checks on anything but a 1. This build actually looks like a lot of fun. Kind of makes me want to play a Dwarf.

    I actually had someone that wanted the same thing out of Sig's thread (might have been you). They didn't specify race, so I went with Elf 32 pointer, as they make the best Rogues besides Drow, and Drow are way overdone. If you want to sub WF, you can, but your skills drop accordingly (lose Elf skill enhancements and 2 points to Cha).

    Of course, if you are good and can get your sneak attack in a lot, you can add 6d6 damage to each hit that is a sneak attack. On average about 21 points of extra damage each hit. So don't forget to use your bluff skill. A huge boost in damage is going to come when you start wearing a Fearsome robe, as the running away scaredy cats get Sneak Attacked every swing (or should, not a big Rogue player here).


    Overall, the build shouls be okay without some of the equipment I have included (all the +6 stat items), but I don't find these real hard to get (except the **** Wis +6). These are more things to shoot for, rather than have-to-haves. The only real weak point is the HPs, which you should kind of pad with Stoneskin scrolls and Displacement when needed. Just remember you are not an up-front fighter and you should be okay.

    Hi, and thanks for your request.

    I love playing Bards. I will let you know though, that it can be tough.
    Bards are generalists at heart, and most DDO characters benefit from choosing a specialty and sticking to it.

    That being said, I think the below character will be very fun to play.

    NOTE: This character should have Spellsinger and Bard Lingering Song 4, but my Character Generator wouldn't allow Spellsinger and that means I can't choose Lingering 4 because I don't have the points spent.

    You do need a mith light shield, +5 would be great, but lower would be just fine. I think you should shoot for a "Wounding Rapier of Piercing", but almost any burst Rapier will work just fine.

    Agreed on the DDO drive to max DPS, or insta-kills, or trap-smithing. At least with my guild runs there is a space to be filled for buffing and crowd control, so we'll see. I know Bards have their own set of issues with PUGs (although I always advertise for them when I put LFMs up).

    I always ask myself what my character will during a Reaver raid, and the answer here is a high DC dance party.

    Bards are generalists at heart, and most DDO characters benefit from choosing a specialty and sticking to it.

    That being said, I think the below character will be very fun to play.

    NOTE: This character should have Spellsinger and Bard Lingering Song 4, but my Character Generator wouldn't allow Spellsinger and that means I can't choose Lingering 4 because I don't have the points spent.

    You do need a mith light shield, +5 would be great, but lower would be just fine. I think you should shoot for a "Wounding Rapier of Piercing", but almost any burst Rapier will work just fine.

    I'm looking for an Elf Wizard/Fighter. I figure with Arcane Fluidity I can wear Light to Medium armor pretty easily. I'd like to use Longswords, and I'm thinking the best way to go is with a Dex type melee build.

    For spells I'd like to focus on buff spells to help survive in Melee when needed, and other than that stick with Elemental/Energy attack spells. Using Figther and Wizard I was thinking you should probably get enough feats to make a decent build.

    Okay, below is your request.

    I did go with a Str build rather than Dex, as I am not a big fan of the Dex builds. I also went TWF since you have the only method of AC improvement available to TWF (Shield spell). I suggest you being more melee oriented, but leading in with a debuff and possibly a WoF to fight in. I think your AC should actually be pretty decent. Supplement that with Stoneskin and Displacement, and your incoming damage shouldn't be too bad. I did use 2 +1 tomes (Str and Dex) in the build, only the Dex is necessary, the Str just rounds out a number.

    Start with Shield, Jump, Blur, and Tumble.

    Turn extend off and pop a False Life.

    Scroll Stoneskin and Greater Hero.

    Extend back on and Displacement and Haste.

    Now you're ready to roll.

    I am looking for some help in building a 'null' cleric. An offensive based caster weighted towards negative energy spells with some solo ability through mid levels. Preferably drow for character concept reasons.

    I am newly returned to DDO after some considerable time away.
    (so many new things to learn it seems)
    While I enjoyed the game when I left a group of friends decided to move to another mmorpg and I followed, although I always missed the DDO gameplay. At any rate, I do not have the 1750(?) favor for 32 point builds.

    Perhaps some insight into weaponry/armor/items I should look for as well. Thanks

    Well, building a "Null Cleric" is actually very easy. The first point is any offensive caster needs to max their casting stat. Next, take any enhancements to damage you can.

    The really nice thing about a "Null Cleric", is that your enhancements for "Inflict" also enhance your healing.


    As far as equipment, you should be on the lookout for a "Superior Void Lore" one-hander and the highest "Potency" one-hander you can find. (Go for more damage on your Potency than level, ie. Superior 3 over Improved 6, but keep both, just have both set-up to maximize damage. ie. Sup. Void Lore and Sup. Potency 3 for your spells level 3 and under, and Sup. Void Lore and Imp. Potency 6 for spells of level 4-6). I myself don't use most of the Inflict spells on my Caster Cleric, but I do use Harm a lot. (Have crit on end boss from POP for ~550).

    You are actually an effective caster with any Cleric spells, but have a better DC with the "Inflict" spells due to the SF and GSF Necromancy. You can also use all of the alignment spells (Holy Smite, Unholy Blight, Order's Wrath, and Chaos Hammer), which can only be done by a True Neutral Cleric.

    Anyway, below is what I suggest.

    Now, of course, I am regretting that I do not have a 32 point human option. (I just can't see myself playing enough to get enough favor on one character so that I can feel like I have a successful build on another character) Although I am still thinking about a drow version even considering the drow army I see running around the Harbor.

    I suppose I am looking for a good combination of utility/melee and casting in some odd form. Lately I have been looking at '12/2 sorc/pally' and '13/1 wiz/rogue' as well as cleric variants such as this one. I had a 10th lvl bard that didn't suit me although he was potent.

    I enjoy this game quite a bit but my inability to choose a character and stick with it is starting to bug me. My pnp characters do not work here
