I'm not sure why there is a level of fighter in this build, unless it's flavor?

*Human will get an extra feat over dwarf, you could use that for a 2hander.
*Better yet half-elves (if you have them) can select a bonus feat, that allows you to use any melee martial weapon.

Both of these races can increase their wisdom through enhancements
Both of these races can improve the amount the healing aura hits them for with enhancements

Pure clerics also get access to quite good melee buffs sooner, as well as blade barrier, implosion etc
I wouldn't multiclass a spellcaster, then try to get good spell pen...

Cleric's can fight just fine without multiclassing, and thus reducing their spell power.

Just my thoughts, each to their own.

    Some important changes imho.

No smiting lines? for divine punishment that has no saves against or SR against. Smiting lines are awesome.

Critical healing instead of critical smiting should be the other way around.

Swap out metal toughness and extend for empower and heighten. You have so much dwarven enhancements u don't have the resources for SR and insta kill.

You are strapped for enhancements with this build and trying to be too much. Dump critical healing except for rad serv prereq. Dump energy zeolot line at higher lvls and spell resistance and take smiting lines 1-4 and some critical smiting. A 28 pt build multiclass first life cleric with wisdom 16 is like dumping/gimping spell resistance, so I would not bother with it.

I saw one build with a fighter lvl at lvl8. Better to take it at lvl1 except for humans. For humans take cleric lvl at lvl 1, so extra human feat can be a cleric feat later if u choose. Having decent melee at lower levels is the whole point of one fighter lvl splash because other than command and soundburst Clerics have poor offensive casting till later lvls.

The post above has very sound advise.
Adding in, Smiting, maxmise, heighten...I agree with it all.

In my opinion cleric's already have decent melee at low levels, and have buffs and cc to back it up.
The only thing holding them, back is the simple weapon proficiency - which has several work arounds that don't multiclassing.

But perhaps that is all a bit besides the point. There is some great build advise here now.

Heh look forward to 32/34 point builds, it will open your options up significantly.

    Good luck.

I wouldn't call your build close to a shaman in WoW by any stretch of the imagination. Unlike DDO, WoW classes have three tiers of trees which they can only really fully spec into a single one. This leads them to be specialized in different ways, in terms of the shaman, they can spec a twf melee dps, a healer, or a pure elemental damage.

A sorc or wizard is very likening to an elemental shaman.

A twf paladin is very likening to a enhancement shaman.

And there really is nothing that heals like a restoration shaman, but any healer can essentially pull off healing. I assume the new druid class would match it most effectively, though.

About the list of 5 feats on page 1.

Heighten if you intend to do ANY sort of save-based spell, and either Quicken or Maximize in the other slot. Though I'd have to see your feats; you should have all 3 of those.

Spell Pen can be dropped as a feat. I have a 22 if I recall and don't bother against anything with spell pen checks. If I need to CC something with Spell Penetration, two Epic Timeblades makes the job done in short order. Improved Paralyzing is more effective than people think. And if you want to solo with spell pen mobs, grab a +5 improved shattermantle weapon. This will give a -6 on their spell pen and basically that's like having now a 28 spell pen. If this thing has high saves, make your offhand a +5 improved cursespewing weapon for -4 to saves. So now instead of a 34 save and a 22 spell pen, you have a 38 save and a 28 spell pen. Useful.

BYOH. Know it, abide by it, or don't mess with those who do.

I'm new, and confused. The available advancement trees, i.e. Dwarf, Divine Disciple, Stalwart Defender, Vanguard, Harper Agent, Warpriest, Radiant Servant, and Kensei do not seem to be mentioned here, which critically affects my choices. Have things changed since the initial post? Listed Feats also are somewhat different than what are shown to be available.

Yes: note the OP date (Oct. 10, 2007). I'm shocked you even unearthed this thread; you win at DDO Forum Archeology!

The Build Repository thread is a lot more recent, albeit still in need of updating. Axel's build is a good one to start with.
