Raid loot system has to be changed ... How many times do we have to say it ??????

You guys have always been pretty good about getting feedback and listening to the players but on this topic you pretty much ignored everyone's warnings....

SOLUTION ! RAID POINTS or CREDITS whatever you want to call them.

every raid you get X raid credits. Normal = 1 credit, Hard = 2, Elite = 4 (or 3 for the easy elite ones).

Then spend your raid credit points on whatever loot you want.


OR if you don't like that idea


Take random raid drops out completely and instead of choosing from the end rewards every 20 raids make it every 10 raids.

Easy everyone happy ladida woohoo problem fixed.

I must confess that Indago's first run at the Abbott was part of my conclusion that we really need to have loot the first completion of a raid on a character http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=123740.

Drith's post here just goes to the point how uniquely frustrating it is to do somthing new, and hitting the negative jackpot. Please, can we get some consideration of the idea of getting raid loot just the first time?

To anyone participating in raids and their groups getting no raid loot pulls I say "Welcome to my world". I get **** loot out of every chest no matter the quest or level. My luck has always been like that for this stuff and I have always laughed about it. It is good to see my luck is finally getting spread around

Now that I have had my fun to the OP I would say don't hold your breath for them to change the loot system because on average a few runs produce no raid loot drops. It took them over a year to get rid of the lousy system they started with for raid loot and they knew from day 1 when they announced it that 85% or more of the people who post here hated it, but they left it in, promised to give it a look 4 weeks after it went live and only changed if finally 16 months later.

Now maybe things can be adjusted, but **** it people give it some time for them to collect enough data on actual numbers and give more detail than just the raid, the difficulty, how many people and how many drops for the group. List the raid leaders name and your server so if others posting about the same raid don't get counted for or against the system. Also post as much detail as you can about what the non-raid pulls were so they can see where that side needs adjustment.

I agree that no raid loot for anyone in a group does kind of bite. At the very least each person should expect to pull a top quality regular item from the warded chest(s). The devs need the players to keep raiding and posting the data so if the system is really not working as they wanted they can get enough data together to prove it and change it ASAP. That could mean you need to run 20 raids with no raid loot before they have enough data, but if it leads to a system like the OP suggested would it not be worth it?

Btw the constructive idea for the raid loot system the OP suggested is the only reason I did not flame him six ways to Sunday. His overall tone was not excusable, but he still did have a constructive idea on how to fix something he sees as a problem.

Sure I love raid loots but it doesn't make me have an aneurysm when I don't get any. Hell, how many raids have you been on already that you recieved no raid loot prior to MOD5? Shortmaning doesn't count ;P

Please DO NOT go back to the old raid loot system. This is what the community has been asking for since VoN went live. I do not want to go back to 2-3 manning raids, and I want a chance at loot everytime I raid.

Maybe Indago is cursed... my pug raids got great drop rates but our reaver run? 1 drop on elite. Queen? nothing. 2 Abbot runs, nothing.

Maybe Turbine is jealous cuz we can beat the Abbot and they can't!
