Warforged Body Feat Respec -- Broken?

So after reading this patch note (from 4.1):

Warforged can now freely respec their body feats. Fred's tentacles are mighty indeed!

I decided to roll a new warforged, and took adamantine body at creation figuring I could respec it out at level 4 or 5...

So I tried talking to Fred last night. And I could put adamantine body in the "feat to be respec'd" slot, and I could drag a replacement feat into the appropriate slot on the right, and I could even hit "accept"... Sadly, Fred wouldn't take my money, or my dragonshard, and he certainly wouldn't swap out my feat.

I tried at level 4 (1r/2p/1s if it matters) with a flawed shard, and then again immediately after leveling up to 5 (1r/2p/2s) with an imperfect shard (had a full one in inventory too, just in case). Same result -- the window closes when I hit accept, and nothing happens.


So, a couple of my guildies report that they've been able to swap out body feats... Am I just unlucky? Does this normally work? Is there some mysterious work-around? Do I have to walk in a counter-clockwise circle around fred 3 times and then diplo him?

Would love a solution, as I was actually having fun leveling this character, and I'm not particularly excited about having to move all his gear somewhere else and find another set of +1 tomes to re-roll him.

Bug report!

But, haven't heard anything about problems for WF body respec. Hopefully, friendly WF from all over Stormreach will chime in and let us know what's happening.

Of course. Did that immediately.

But, you know, there's nothing likely to come of that until at least 5.1 or 5.2.

It's possible that there was a bug in MOD5 affecting this issue, I was able to swap out a body feat before MOD5.

I was starting to wonder this too. Maybe there was a feat on the list that you are not eligible for, which would be another bug. Try taking toughness in place of the body feat. Everyone needs more HP.

Tried to take SF:UMD, Stunning Blow, Toughness, Power Attack, Luck of Heroes, and even Mithral Body. No dice.

The list of available feats updated correctly when I selected my level 3 feat instead of the level 1 body feat, and updated again correctly when I swapped the body feat back in.

The accept button is greyed out until you have an appropriate feat in each box... The UI is working perfectly, as far as I can tell. But nothing happens when I "accept" the respec.

It's a display bug try switching out your docents

If it was a display bug it'd probably show either a) my AC changing, b) the feat being removed from my character page, c) a dragonshard disappearing from my inventory, d) some amount of gold disappearing from my inventory, or e) the new feat appearing in my character page.

Sadly, it was f) none of the above.
