Cursed Crypt altar bug

When running Cursed Crypt, we had an issue where the "Examine the West altar" objective did not check off, even though we completed it, then continued and completed the rest of the quest, including killing Maldetto and grabbing the book from the last altar.

At that point, we noticed we didn't complete the quest when we grabbed the book, so we petitioned a GM. We got a response (I do not know which GM we got or the ticket number, as I didn't submit the help request), and the GM said they were going to research the problem.

Our problem was that the West altar objective didn't tick off.

A problem with the GM leaving us there is the Cursed Crypt is a quest with two failure objectives. One is time, for which we had about 35 minutes left, and one is killing too many Silver Flame members.

So, about 15 minutes later (leaving about 20 minutes on our timer), we notice things start spawning down in the pit where the last encounter happens, and get killed off almost immediately. Which includes Maldetto and the Silver Flame members down there.

If we had killed even one Silver Flame member prior to completion, the GM would have caused a quest failure. And if the GM were to do more research at that time, to try and find our problem instead of just trying to kill the end encounter again, because the GM didn't/couldn't stop the quest timer, we were worried about failing due to our timer running out.

But we decided not to wait for that to happen, and just left the quest without completion.

Same thing happened to a group i was in.. Pretty sure it was West alter as wel.. After looking all over ourselves for a while, We filed a report... WIth 15 Minutes left.. GM never showed u p and quest failed due to time....

Bug reported.. Pretty frustrating.

Did you try going back and using the west altar again?

You never "use" the altar. You only get close to it, then kill the red named skeleton.

Once you kill him, the objective ticks over. Or, at least, it's supposed to.



And yes, we went back next to the altar, because the person who submitted the ticket had to show the GM where the altar was. Nothing happened.
