    Default For next MOD

Gonna start my push for a fix in the next MOD. Please do away with the search animation. It is slow, tedious and completely unnecessary. It really does not add anything to the game other than slow it down. If you want to keep the disable animation fine, although again not really needed but PLEASE do away with the search animation. Plus astheticly it looks more like someone struggling to have a "movement". I have other things but right now this is my biggest gripe.

    That is all....................For now

For one I would like to see 'oils' implemented. And the search animation does not bother me.

    Sorry to the op.

Item I would like to see.
    Oils.

Oils are essentially potions with extended(Maybe double) time, and persistant through instances.
They are applied. Using the search animation, instead using the descriptive.

So, you could apply them before entering, so as to not have to consume the time inside the quest.

The cost could be double or whatever. Or/And could be a favor reward.

I agree, search animation should stay. Just needs to be faster, not gone all together.

I am going to have to disagree on getting rid of the search animation. It helps to add some realism to the difficulty of finding a trap-springing mechanism in a hostile environment.

The one that comes most to mind is the optional pit in Mentau's Lab, trying to disarm the four lightning traps while a host of flesh golems chase you around the room. You have to clear the traps to make the area safe for the party, but there are badguys down there, too. The search animation makes it so you have to have good timing, or combine spells and other skill strategies and teamwork, to have enough time to disarm the traps.

I understand that it is tedious when zerging through a well known quest, and the extra 5 mins spent on searching and disarming the traps so that the squishies can get through could be better spent on squeezing in an extra quest... but the traps, and the disabling of them, adds a dimension to DDO that so many other games lack.

It should stay, and, after the search, the character should search to the found objects. It's for realistic purpose and makes you feel more into the game (at least for me).

The only thing I care about now is what the hell the loading screen means.
