Yeah US Federal Holidays are crazy.. only people in the US who get them off are the Mail Carriers and people who work for the government(OHh and Bankers) but other then that it's business as usual in the US..

I wish that was the case, lol.

Instead I, the federal employee, may not even be able to stay awake to watch my beloved Green Bay Packers - because I have to get up at 4am Monday morning to go to work.

Meanwhile, my spouse (who is a civilian) and my two children (who don't have school) will be enjoying their day off.

Well yeah, symbolic of us overthrowing British Imperial tyranny and taxation, but we still love our British origins.

Guess you have not been to New Orleans?!?!?! US has a Lot of french origins,like Cajun food etc... (acadian food). Up here all is shut down. wife is sleeping in, kids playing in the basement- ah (eh) yes a nice morning of solo adventure... but wait... Server down for a fix that only effects what 5% maybe 10% (if that) of the users! Yes some of those Canadian. Good Move!! And the time they picked!!! 7am to 1pm EST!!! All I am saying is better planning is needed when they do this. Thanksgiving is Canada is as much of a big holiday as it is in the US. You can tell when the Us takes a holiday seriously- football is on that day .
