Question about tomes

I heard that if you use a +2 Int tome, then as you level at each level you get another 1 skill point to spent, giving you an addition 14 points by the time your char is level capped.

My question is, do other tomes work like this as well? For example, Charisma. If i apply a +2 tome on my lvl 14, does that retroactively apply to my SP as though i had that 2 Charisma throughout my leveling, or is it better to eat tomes at early levels?

You don't get retroactive skill points but yes you would get +1 skill points if you eat a +2 int tome for every level thereafter

SP and HP are retroactive so eat that tome when ever

INT will benefit a character most at level 1. Any other tome is retroactive.

yip, having tha tint tome with BBQ sauce for your first meal at lvl 1 is the best investment any character can make.
Oh course your've got to have an odd int score for a +1 tome to be of any use then. still it allows that extra point to be put somewhere else more useful

lucky ppl if you have a spare +2 int just lying around, hehe. as of yet i've still to encounter one. i get lots of +1 tomes with my caster so heres hoping that will spill over to +2's as well
