    Default System.Exception: There was an error generating the hash code for a patch file. (0x80

    Hi every 1 everytime my freind tries to load up the game only during updating client he get's this message (System.Exception: There was an error generating the hash code for a patch file. (0x8004F003)

    any 1 know what i can do to stop this pesky error from poppin up again i took all steps to get around it for him but always gets the same error message
    help will be greatly appreciated

    Did he try doing a repair install or a clean install of the game?

    the whole computer was formated
    so id say reinstalled
    I even brought over my ddo installation disk
    and tried installing that and it still failed

    after numerous times of reinstalling
    it downloads the client then as soon as it's done it shows that message

    I hope we can figure this problem out real soon

    Virus-scanner/firwall or other protection programs?

    Well you can just try doing a clean boot first - that will disable almost all programs except for what you need - just use msconfig.
