Some item thoughts

Had a quick thought... Shields... wouldn't the world be a better place if some if the things we hold onto scepters for came on shields as well? If sacred can be on a shield, why can't Devotion, Acid Lore, etc? Maybe just Cleric related ones make sense, but...

Speaking of shields, shield of reflection... bounces ray attacks back at the caster... (screw you Mr Beholder!) doesn't work if flanked.

How about items whose traits change as a character levels? Maybe just increase in power, maybe add random (or previously hidden) effects? Binding such items would, of course, be a requirement.

I don't know, just some idle thoughts.

I would love to see this as well, and not just for clerics (my caster would use it too)

I'd like that Shield of Reflection, as a Beholder can NOT Antimagic Field you while it is firing at you (per the Rules), and thus would recieve its rays back in the face. As for Lore and Potency and such, the shield would need to be a Light Mithril shield to be any good(Arcane Fail % is 0 on those).

For arcanes, but not for clerics. Maybe such shields should be part of the cleric loot table, but not the arcane table.

Shields make a clerics job easier, and we'll have none of that.

True, I would also like Potency and things of that nature on Robes and Armor as well.
