    Default Firewall out of range bug???

    Anyone else still having trouble with this?

    For me it seems to have gotten worse. I can be staring at my feet with nothing targeted. "Out of range".

    I can target myself. "Out of range." (When looking at my feet.)

    How are my feet out or range? I understand if I am looking at a hill a mile away... but they are my feet. Drow aren't that tall!

    I get this too. I think there's something wrong with our feet. Just aim a bit in front of you, and you should be fine.

    I've seen it with web I think. I thought it was just something I was doing.

    While at times this might workaround the bug it does NOT resolve it since there's no way to target "a bit in front of you" when you're casting on a target that's less then 2' from you.

    Some areas are more problematice then others due and game engine and interference from non-viewable geometry.

    Is this something that can be fixed within TE 2.1? I doubt it.

    If this is your major problem, then target the enemy. Then the WoF is centered on it.

    I have this problem too. My favorite is when standing up against a door or wall and facing it and getting the message. Happens to me all the time doing the PoP end boss.

    this happens all the time.

    It happens about as often as false casting; where you cast a spell yet nothing happens.

    This bug has been around since the launch of the game from what I recall and will be a determing factor if I renew my sub or not. I like when you attempt to cast a spell and while nothing is happening one of them finally fires off and charges you for multiple castings for a spell that can't be cast that fast; ie Firewall.

    I'm tired of it. It's game breaking due to it's common occurence.

    I am now regularly getting this with most aoe spells, even haste.
    I have also got this with spells where I have no one selected (which means it usually will cast on me like 'jump'.

    I have seen this in doorways where I have to back up.
    I always get it anytime....anytime...a summoned efreeti or other large summomen critter is between my eyes and my toon...I have to move my toon so the critter is not in the way of me seeing my toon.

    Ramps also..I have to back off of them when this happens to cast..

    Really odd behavior and different then what it has been. I rarely got the out of range thing before the new mod, now I wll ALWAYS get it at least once in a quest....many times it will be multiples and in the middle of combat when npcs or summoneds are around me.

    Oh, nice. I will have to watch and see if there is a relationship between the out of range error and objects between the camera and the character.

    The last time I really noticed it my group was all bunched up, so that may have been the case there too.

    I never seem to have the problem, but my firewalls are almost always targetted on a mob.

    You do not have to be facing a mob to cast firewall, so I usually pick my target, then turn my body to place the firewall in the most effective direction.

    i get this message a lot, but then i hardly ever target my spells. they are normally always free cast at a spot on the ground.

    I have noticed that if anything and i mean anything (fellow team memebr, blade of grass, mob, flying spec of dust from another quadrant etc...) gets in the target dot then the spell wont work and i get the message. The worst was when trying to firewall/cloudkill/solid fog in door ways. just as i'm about to cast it the group would crowd the door way and i couldn't cast. lol

    The worst problem i have is casting at creatures in my face. the spell goes off but does nothing as the creature is deemed to be so close its past maximum range. now THAT bug really hacks me off
